บทคัดย่อภาษาไทย

          การวิจัยเรื่อง “ศึกษาผลของการสวดมนต์แปลที่มีผลต่อคุณภาพชีวิตของนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษา โรงเรียนวัดช่องลม กรุงเทพมหานคร” เป็นการวิจัยแบบผสมผสาน (Mixed Method Research) ประกอบด้วยการวิจัย เชิงปริมาณ (Quantitative Research) และการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ (Qualitative Research มีวัตถุประสงค์ของการวิจัย 3 ประการ คือ  1) เพื่อศึกษาความสำคัญของบทสวดมนต์ในพระพุทธศาสนาเถรวาท 2) เพื่อศึกษาอานิสงส์ของการสวดมนต์แปลไทยที่มีผลต่อคุณภาพชีวิตของนักเรียนโรงเรียนวัดช่องลม กรุงเทพมหานคร และ3) เพื่อวิเคราะห์ผลการสวดมนต์แปลไทยที่มีผลต่อคุณภาพชีวิตของนักเรียนโรงเรียนวัดช่องลม กรุงเทพมหานคร

               ศึกษาวิจัยโดยใช้การวิจัยแบบผสมผสาน (Mixed Method) โดยใช้ระเบียบวิธีการวิจัยเชิงปริมาณ (Quantitative Research) ที่เก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลโดยใช้แบบสอบถาม (Questionnaire) และการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ (Qualitative Research) ที่เก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลโดยใช้ การสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึก (In-dept Interviews) โดยเก็บแบบสอบถามจากนักเรียนประถมศึกษาโรงเรียนวัดช่องลม ตำบลช่องนนทรี อำเภอยานนาวา จังหวัดกรุงเทพมหานคร จำนวน 250 คน โดยสุ่มตัวอย่างจากสูตรคำนวณทาโร่ยามาเน่ (Taro Yamane) ได้ 154 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้เป็นแบบสอบถาม มีลักษณะเป็นแบบตรวจสอบรายการและมาตราส่วนประเมินค่า 5 ระดับแบบสอบถามปลายเปิด และแบบสัมภาษณ์ สถิติ ค่าความถี่ (Frequency) ค่าร้อยละ (Percentage) ค่าเฉลี่ย (Mean) ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน (Standard Deviation) เปรียบเทียบความแตกต่างโดยการทดสอบค่าที (t-test) และการทดสอบ ค่าเอฟ (f-test) โดยวิธีการวิเคราะห์ความแปรปรวนทางเดียว (One Way ANOVA) โดยกำหนดนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05

ผลการศึกษาพบว่า

             1) ระดับศึกษาผลของการสวดมนต์แปลที่มีผลต่อคุณภาพชีวิตของนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษา โรงเรียนวัดช่องลม กรุงเทพมหานคร ในภาพรวมทั้งหมดนี้อยู่ในระดับมาก ( = 4.36) เมื่อพิจารณาเป็นรายได้ตามลำดับ มากที่สุด คือ ด้านคุณภาพชีวิตจากการสวดมนต์แปลไทย ( = 4.42) รองลงมา คือ ความเชื่อด้านการสวดมนต์ ( = 4.34) และน้อยที่สุด คือ ด้านอานิสงส์ของการสวดมนต์แปลไทย ( = 4.31)

               2) การเปรียบเทียบความคิดเห็นของ นักเรียนที่มี เพศ ระดับผลการเรียน การเข้ากิจกรรมสวดมนต์แปล และประสบการณ์ในการสวดมนต์แปล มีความคิดเห็นต่อศึกษาผลของการสวดมนต์แปลที่มีผลต่อคุณภาพชีวิตของนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษา โรงเรียนวัดช่องลม กรุงเทพมหานครไม่แตกต่างกัน ยกเว้น ระดับชั้น ที่มีความคิดเห็นแตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ 0.05

    3) สภาพปัญหาเกี่ยวกับศึกษาผลของการสวดมนต์แปลที่มีผลต่อคุณภาพชีวิตของนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาโรงเรียนวัดช่องลม กรุงเทพมหานคร พบว่า นักเรียนบางส่วนยังไม่เชื่อเรื่องการสวดมนต์ หรือไม่ค่อยชอบสวดมนต์ นักเรียนน้อยคนจะสวดมนต์เป็นประจำ เนื่องจากทำกิจกรรมอย่างอื่น และข้อเสนอแนะ ต้องการให้เห็นความเชื่อด้านการสวดมนต์นั้น เป็นรูปธรรมมากขึ้น อยากให้ทุกคนมีความเข้าใจในการสวดมนต์แปลนำไปใช้ในชีวิตประจำอย่างสม่ำเสมอ

             4) ผลการสัมภาษณ์ พบว่า การสวดมนต์นั้นเชื่อว่าจะทำให้เรามีสมาธิมากขึ้น ทำให้เกิดสมาธิทำให้มีจิตใจเมตตา ด้านอานิสงส์ของการสวดมนต์แปลไทย การสวดมนต์แปลเป็นส่วนหนึ่งที่ทำให้เกิดอานิสงส์เช่น การเกิดปัญญา การเกิดสมาธิ รักษาโรคภัยไข้เจ็บ ในเรื่องของเรียนที่ทำให้มีสมาธิในการเรียนมากขึ้น

บทคัดย่อภาษาอังกฤษ

              This mixed method research of “A study of Translation Chanting Effecting to Quality of life in Primary School at Wat Chong Lom School in Bangkok” combined quantitative research and qualitative research with three objectives. They were 1) to study the importance of chanting prayers in Theravāda Buddhism; 2) to study the virtues of Thai translation prayers affecting the quality of life of Wat Chong Lom School students. And 3) to analyze the results of the Thai translation prayer affecting
the quality of life of Wat Chong Lom School students in Bangkok.

              This study was conducted by using mixed research using questionnaire to collect data for the quantitative research whereas using in-depth interview to collect data for qualitative research. They were conducted with 154 samples from 250 population based on Taro Yamane. The questionnaire was attributed as checklist with five summate rating whereas open-ended question was applied with the in-depth interview. The statistical applications were frequency, Percentage, Mean, Standard Deviation, comparison of differences by t-test, and F-test by one-way ANOVA and statistical significance at the 0 .05 level.

Results were:

              1) In the educational level, the translation prayers affected the quality of life of primary school students in Wat Chong Lom School Bangkok. In general the effect was at high-level ( =4.36). By descended ranking with each aspect, the highest one was the quality of life from Thai translation prayer ( =4.42), followed by belief in prayer ( =4.34) and the lowest one was the virtue of Thai translation prayer ( = 4.31)

           2) Comparing the opinions of students with different gender, grade level attending prayer activities and experience in chanting translations; there were no different opinions on the effects of translation prayer over the quality of life of primary school students in Wat Chong Lom School Bangkok exempted for the class level by statistically significant difference at the 0.05 level.

            3) The problems of studying the effect of translation prayer on the quality of life of primary school students in Wat Chong Lom School Bangkok were some students did not believe in prayer, or disliked to pray, few prayed regularly due to doing other activities. It was recommended that the belief in prayer should be more concrete, and everyone should understand the translated prayers for regular application in daily life.

              4) The results of the interview showed that chanting prayers was believed to make us more focused leading to compassionate mind. The virtue of Thai translation prayer was translated as part of the virtue, too such as the occurrence of wisdom, meditation, healing of ailments in the matters of studying contributing more focused on studying.
