        การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) ศึกษาระดับการมีส่วนร่วมทางการเมืองของประชาชนในการปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่นในอำเภอจัตุรัส จังหวัดชัยภูมิ 2) ศึกษาเปรียบเทียบการมีส่วนร่วมทางการเมืองของประชาชนในการปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่นในอำเภอจัตุรัส จังหวัดชัยภูมิ 3) ศึกษาแนวทางในการส่งเสริมการมีส่วนร่วมทางการเมืองของประชาชนในการปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่นในอำเภอจัตุรัส จังหวัดชัยภูมิเป็นการวิจัยแบบผสานวิธี กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการศึกษามีจำนวน 390 คน ผู้ให้ข้อมูลสำคัญ จำนวน 10 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย ได้แก่ แบบสอบถาม และแบบสอบสัมภาษณ์ สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล ได้แก่ ความถี่ ค่าเฉลี่ย ค่าร้อยละค่าเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน การทดสอบค่าที การทดสอบค่าเอฟและวิเคราะห์เนื้อหาเชิงพรรณนา
        ผลการวิจัยครั้งนี้ พบว่า
        1. ระดับความคิดเห็นที่มีต่อการมีส่วนร่วมทางการเมืองของประชาชนในการปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่น อำเภอจัตุรัส จังหวัดชัยภูมิ ทั้ง 5 ด้านพบว่า ระดับความคิดเห็นของประชาชนที่มีต่อการมีส่วนร่วมทางการเมืองของประชาชนในการปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่น โดยภาพรวมอยู่ในระดับมากที่สุด
        2. การเปรียบเทียบการมีส่วนร่วมทางการเมืองของประชาชนในการปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่น อำเภอจัตุรัส จังหวัดชัยภูมิพบว่าประชาชนที่มีเพศต่างกันการมีส่วนร่วมทางการเมืองไม่แตกต่างกัน ประชาชนที่มีอายุ การศึกษา และรายได้ต่อเดือนต่างกันการมีส่วนร่วมทางการเมืองแตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ 0.05
        3. แนวทางในการส่งเสริมการมีส่วนร่วมทางการเมืองของประชาชนในการปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่นในอำเภอจัตุรัส จังหวัดชัยภูมิ พบว่าควรมีการตรวจสอบติดตาม รับทราบข้อมูลผลงานของผู้นำท้องถิ่นรับฟังนโยบายการพัฒนาแก้ปัญหาของชุมชนและมีความรักพอใจในสิ่งที่ทำ มีความขยันหมั่นเพียนในการทำงาน มีความเอาใจใส่ในสิ่งที่ทำ และใช้ปัญญาไตร่ตรอง ตรวจสอบ

บทคัดย่อภาษาอังกฤษ

        This research aimed to 1) study the level of political participation of people in local administration in Chatturat District, Chaiyaphum Province; 2) compare the political participation of the people in local administration in Chatturat District, Chaiyaphum Province; 3) study ways to promote political participation of people in local administration in Chatturat District, Chaiyaphum Province. This study was carried out by means of the mixed method research. The sample consisted of 390 participants and 10 key informants. The research instruments were questionnaires and interviews. The statistics used for data analysis were: Frequency, Mean, Percentage, Standard Deviation, t-test, f-test and descriptive content analysis.
        The research results were as follows:
        1) The level of opinions on political participation of the people in local administration in Chatturat District, Chaiyaphum Province, in all 5 aspects overall was at the highest level.
        2) Comparison of the political participation of the people in local administration revealed that people of different sexes had no different participation in politics. People with different age, education and monthly income had political participation differently with statistical significance level of 0.05.
        3) The ways for promoting political participation of the people in local administration in Chatturat District, Chaiyaphum Province are that the performance of local leaders should be examined. The local leaders should listen to the policy for community problem solving and development. They should love what they do and be diligent in work and attentive in what they do and use their wisdom to examine.
