บทคัดย่อภาษาไทย

วิทยานิพนธ์ฉบับนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์ 3 ประการ ได้แก่ 1) เพื่อศึกษาคุณค่าการปฏิบัติตนต่อบิดามารดาของบุตรธิดาในสิงคาลกสูตร 2) เพื่อวิเคราะห์หลักธรรมที่เกี่ยวข้องการปฏิบัติตนต่อบิดามารดาของบุตรธิดา 3) เพื่อสงเคราะห์การปฏิบัติตนต่อบิดามารดาของบุตรธิดาในสิงคาลกสูตร

การศึกษาครั้งนี้เป็นการศึกษาเชิงเอกสาร โดยศึกษาข้อมูลจากพระไตรปิฎก อรรถกถา ฎีกาหนังสือและผลงานวิจัยที่เกี่ยวข้องเป็นการวิจัยเชิง คุณภาพ (Qualitative Research) ระหว่างการวิจัยเอกสาร และการวิจัยข้อมูลการให้สัมภาษณ์เชิงลึกและการสนทนากลุ่มย่อย

 ผลการวิจัยพบว่า

คุณค่าการปฏิบัติตนต่อบิดามารดาของบุตรธิดาในสิงคาลกสูตร ประกอบด้วย 1)ละเว้นจากความชั่ว และเหตุแห่งความเสื่อม ไม่เกี่ยวข้องอบายมุขทั้งปวง 2) ประพฤติปฏิบัติความดีประพฤติปฏิบัติตน ตามหลักสุจริตทั้งทางกาย วาจาและจิตใจ 3) หมั่นศึกษาและ แสวงหาความรู้เพื่อเป็นเครื่องพัฒนา สติปัญญา 4) ฉันทะ ความสนใจมีความเพียรพยายามและมีการปฏิบัติบรรลุเป้าหมาย 5) มีความมั่นคงดำรงชีพตามหลักศีลธรรมและจริยธรรม อันเป็นพื้นฐานแห่งความเป็นกัลยาณชนคนดี 6) ธำรง ตนให้เป็นทายาทที่ดี บริหารทรัพย์สินและ ครอบครัวให้มั่นคง ดำรงตนตามหลักสันโดษ 3 ประการ ได้แก่ ยถาลาภสันโดษ คือ ยินดีตามที่ได้ ยถาพลสันโดษ คือ ยินดีตามกำลัง และสารูปสันโดษ คือ ยินดีตามสมควรแก่ฐานะแห่งตน

คุณค่าการปฏิบัติตนต่อบิดามารดาของบุตรธิดาในชุมชนบางโคล่ พระราม 3 ซอย 22 แขวงบางโคล่ เขตบางคอแหลม กรุงเทพมหานคร 1) คุณค่าการปฏิบัติตนต่อบิดามารดา คอยดูแลท่านให้บริบูรณ์ด้วยปัจจัย 4 หมั่นพาท่าน ไปทำบุญให้ทาน รักษาศีล และเจริญภาวนา หมั่นช่วยเหลือกิจการงานบิดามารดาด้วยความตั้งใจ สืบ วงศ์ตระกูลด้วยการปฏิบัติตนตั้งอยู่บนฐานแห่งความดี ไม่ดำรงตนไปสู่ทางที่เสื่อมเสีย สร้างฐานะให้ มั่นคง ประพฤติปฏิบัติตน ครั้งบิดามารดายังมีชีวิตอยู่ หากท่านจากไปต้องหมั่นกระทำบุญอุทิศให้ท่าน อย่างสม่ำเสมอ 2) การสื่อสารกับบิดามารดา หมั่นพูดคุย ไถ่ถามสภาวะความ เพื่อป้องกันมิให้ท่าน เกิดความรู้สึกเหงา เป็นกำลังใจทั้งยามทุกข์และสุข พูดจาไพเราะ ไม่ดุด่าหรือทำให้บิดามารดารู้สึก เสียใจ และคอยช่วยเหลือในกิจการงานต่าง ๆ โดยไม่บ่นหรือปฏิเสธ 3) การแสดงความรู้สึกต่อบิดา มารดา แสดงความรักและความห่วงใยบิดามารดา ช่วยเหลือกิจการงานของท่านด้วยความวิริยะ อุตสาหะไม่ย่อท้อ ตั้งมั่นอยู่บนพื้นฐานแห่งความดี มีความสุภาพอ่อนน้อมถ่อมตน 4) การแสดงความ ผูกพันกับบิดามารดา เอาใจใส่ ไม่ทอดทิ้งบิดามารดาให้อยู่ลำพัง ไม่ทอดทิ้งภารกิจที่ทำไว้ สานต่อ กิจการงานบิดามารดาให้สำเร็จลุล่วงด้วยดี 5) การควบคุมการทำหน้าที่ต่อบิดามารดา ดูแลอาหาร การกิน สุขภาพร่างกาย ด้วยความเต็มใจสานต่อกิจการงานมิให้บกพร่อง นำคำสอนบิดามารดามา ประพฤติปฏิบัติ และทำบุญอุทิศให้หลังจากท่านเสียชีวิต

บทคัดย่อภาษาอังกฤษ

               This thesis aimed at three objectives which were (1) to study the value of children self- practice toward parents in Siṅgālaka Sutta; (2) to analyze the Dharma principles related to the children self-practice toward their parents; and (3) to synthesize the children self-practice toward their parents in Siṅgālaka Sutta.

This was a documentary study through exploring information from the Tipitaka, Aṭṭhakathā (a commentary), ṭīkā, books and related researches. This was a qualitative research and employing in-depth interviews and the focused-group discussions.

The results were:

The values of treating their parents in Siṅgālaka Sutta included (1) refraining from evil, the cause of the decline and avoidance of all vices. (2) It was to well behave and to behave in accordance with the principles of honesty, physically, verbally and mentally. (3) It was to endure education, to seek knowledge as a device to develop intelligence. (4) It was chanda (the will) attention, perseverance, and practices to achieve goals. (5) There was life stability according to the moral and ethical principles, which were the bases of good friendly person. (6) It was to maintain oneself as good heirs, property management, family security and maintaining oneself according to the three principles of solitude, such as: Yathālābha-santosa (contentment with what one gets and deserves to get); Yathābala-santosa (contentment with what is within one’s strength or capacity) and Yathāssāruppa-santosa (contentment with what is befitting).

The values of Children self-practices towards parents in Bangkhlo Community, Rama III Soi 22, Bangkhlo Sub-district, Bang Kho Laem District, Bangkok were (1) the values of treating parents, care taking for them to be abundant with 4 means, escorting them to participate in merit-making, maintaining precepts, prayer chanting, being helpful for the parental affairs with attentiveness, inheritance with self-practices founded on goodness, never involving in detrimental ways, securing stable status and conducts while parents were alive and when they passed away, it was regular to offer merits to them. (2) It was to communicating with parents with patience, never fail to greeting them to prevent their loneliness, contributing moral supports during their miseries and during their happiness, speaking melodiously, never scolding or making them sorrow but occasionally helping them in various affairs without complaints and rejection. (3) It was to express to them the senses of affection, and concerns, and helping their affairs with indomitable persistence founded on goodness with politeness and humility. (4) It was to express on parental bond, attentiveness, never abandoning parents to stay alone, never abandoning the current tasks and continuing their affairs until well accomplishment. (5) It was to control to fulfill the duties towards parents, supervising their food and feeding, their physical health with willingness to continue their affairs without fail, embracing their teaching and behaving and paying merits for them after their death.
