การวิจัยเรื่อง “การศึกษาอัตลักษณ์ของชุมชนไทยทรงดำตามหลักพระพุทธศาสนาในตำบลบ้านดอน อำเภออู่ทอง จังหวัดสุพรรณบุรี” มีวัตถุประสงค์ ประกอบด้วย 1) เพื่อศึกษาเกี่ยวกับอัตลักษณ์ของชุมชนไทยทรงดำในตำบลบ้านดอน อำเภออู่ทองจังหวัดสุพรรณบุรี 2) เพื่อศึกษาอัตลักษณ์ของชุมชนไทยทรงดำในตำบลบ้านดอน อำเภออู่ทอง จังหวัดสุพรรณบุรี ในการนับถือหลักพระพุทธศาสนา 3) เพื่อศึกษาอัตลักษณ์ของชุมชนไทยทรงดำในตำบลบ้านดอน อำเภออู่ทอง จังหวัดสุพรรณบุรี ตามหลักพระพุทธศาสนา ทางเอกสาร (Documentary Research) และวิจัยภาคสนาม (Fields Research) โดยใช้แบบสัมภาษณ์เป็นเครื่องมือในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลและเข้าร่วมสังเกตการณ์แบบมีส่วนร่วมโดยใช้หลักการ 3 ประการคือ 1) การศึกษาเอกสาร วรรณกรรมและงานวิจัยที่เกี่ยวข้อง เป็นการศึกษาแนวคิด ทฤษฎีการศึกษาอัตลักษณ์ของไทยทรงดำตามหลักพระพุทธศาสนา ในตำบลบ้านดอน อำเภออู่ทอง จังหวัดสุพรรณบุรี จากแหล่งข้อมูลปฐมภูมิและข้อมูลทุติยภูมิ 2) เครื่องมือในการรวบรวมข้อมูลภาคสนาม (Field Work) เพื่อให้ได้ข้อมูลเชิงลึก 
มีแบบสัมภาษณ์และประชากรกลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ศึกษา เครื่องบันทึกเสียง กล้องถ่ายรูปกล้องวีดีโอ สมุดจดบันทึก และ 3) การวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลเชิงพรรณนา นำเสนอข้อมูลและข้อเสนอแนะ

ผลการวิจัย พบว่า 

           1) การศึกษาอัตลักษณ์ของชุมชนไทยทรงดำตามหลักพระพุทธศาสนา ในตำบลบ้านดอน อำเภออู่ทอง จังหวัดสุพรรณบุรี พบว่า ประวัติความเป็นมาของชาวไทยทรงดำที่เกิดขึ้นได้จากประเพณี ความเชื่อ และวัฒนธรรมในท้องถิ่นที่ยึดถือปฎิบัติสืบทอดกันมาเป็นทอด ๆ ถึงสังคมต่าง ๆ จะเปลี่ยนแปลงไป ชาวไทยทรงดำยังคงรักษาวัฒนธรรมประเพณีอันดีงามเอาไว้

           2) การศึกษาอัตลักษณ์ของชุมชนไทยทรงดำตามหลักพระพุทธศาสนา ในตำบลบ้านดอน อำเภออู่ทอง จังหวัดสุพรรณบุรี พบว่า ชาวไทยทรงดำเป็นผู้ที่นับถือศาลเจ้าพ่อ ถือเป็น “สิ่งศักดิ์สิทธิ์ประจำหมู่บ้าน” ที่ชาวบ้านแต่ละหมู่บ้านให้ความเคารพนับถือ ชาวไทยทรงดำเชื่อว่าผีประจำหมู่บ้านหรือเจ้าพ่อสามารถพึ่งพิงเพื่อให้ช่วยคุ้มครองและปกป้องและขจัดทุกข์บำรุงสุขให้แก่พวกเขาได้ ชาวไทยทรงดำมีลักษณะเฉพาะตัวของชนเผ่า ซึ่งผิดแผกแตกต่างไปจากวัฒนธรรมชุมชนอื่น ๆ แต่ความแตกต่างกันทางวัฒนธรรมก็มิได้เป็นอุปสรรคในการอยู่ร่วมกับชุมชนอื่น และเป็นไปอย่างราบรื่น ควบคู่ไปกับวิถีชีวิตแบบชาวพุทธและความสอดคล้องกับเรื่องราวที่เกิดขึ้นในพิธีกรรม

           3) การศึกษาอัตลักษณ์ของชุมชนไทยทรงดำตามหลักพระพุทธศาสนา ในตำบลบ้านดอน อำเภออู่ทอง จังหวัดสุพรรณบุรี พบว่า วัฒนธรรมของชาวไทยทรงดำโดยส่วนใหญ่แล้วเป็นประเพณีและพิธีกรรมที่ผูกพันกับความเชื่อค่อนข้างมาก ประเพณีและพิธีกรรมที่เกิดขึ้น เพื่อตอบสนองความเชื่อของชาวไทยทรงดำในด้านต่าง ๆ จึงมีการผสมผสานกันระหว่างประเพณีและพิธีกรรมทางศาสนาพุทธ โดยนำมาประยุกต์เข้ากับประเพณีและวัฒนธรรมของชาวไทยทรงดำอย่างกลมกลืน

There were interview forms and sample population studied. Voice recorder Cameras, video cameras, notebooks, and 3) descriptive data analysis. Offer information and suggestions.

 

The research results were found that

 

              1) A study of the identity of the Thai Songdam community according to Buddhism principles in Ban Don Subdistrict, U-Thong District, Suphanburi Province, it was found that the history of the Thai Songdam people arose from the local traditions, beliefs, and cultures that adhere to each other throughout the society. The Thai Songdam people still maintain a good culture and tradition.

 

              2) A study of the identity of the Thai Songdam community according to Buddhism principles in Ban Don Subdistrict, U-Thong District, Suphanburi Province, it was found that the Thai Song Dam people were respectful of the Chao Phoe shrine (God Father), which was regarded as the “sacred of the village” that the villagers in each village respect. The Thai Songdam people believe that the village spirits or the godfather can rely on it to help protect and protect and eliminate suffering for them. The Thai Song Dam people have unique tribal characteristics. They differ from other cultures in communities, but cultural differences are not a hindrance to living with other communities. And go smoothly Along with the Buddhist way of life and in harmony with the stories that take place in the ritual

 

                 3) A study of the identity of the Thai Songdam community according to Buddhism principles in Ban Don Subdistrict, U-Thong District, Suphanburi Province, it was found that the culture of the Thai Song Dam people is mostly a tradition and rituals that are closely related to beliefs. Traditions and rituals that happened to meet the beliefs of the Thai Songdam people in various fields, there is a combination of Buddhist traditions and rituals by applying them to the traditions and culture of the Thai Songdam people harmoniously.
