วิทยานิพนธ์นี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์ (1) เพื่อศึกษาการอนุรักษ์โบราณสถาน โบราณวัตถุทางพระพุทธศาสนาของวัดในเขตอำเภอเมืองสุพรรณบุรี จังหวัดสุพรรณบุรี (2) เพื่อเปรียบเทียบการอนุรักษ์โบราณสถาน โบราณวัตถุทางพระพุทธศาสนาของวัดในเขตอำเภอเมืองสุพรรณบุรี จังหวัดสุพรรณบุรี (3) เพื่อศึกษาปัญหา อุปสรรค และข้อเสนอแนะในการอนุรักษ์โบราณสถาน โบราณวัตถุทางพระพุทธศาสนาของวัดในเขตอำเภอเมืองสุพรรณบุรี จังหวัดสุพรรณบุรี โดยกลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการวิจัย ได้แก่ พระภิกษุสงฆ์ในเขตปกครองคณะสงฆ์อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดสุพรรณบุรี จำนวน 274 รูป เป็นการวิจัยแบบผสานวิธี ประกอบด้วย การวิจัยเชิงปริมาณและการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้สถิติค่าความถี่ ร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน ทดสอบสมมติฐานการวิจัยโดยใช้การวิเคราะห์ความแปรปรวนทางเดียว และการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลจากการสัมภาษณ์ โดยใช้เทคนิคการวิเคราะห์เนื้อหา 

               1. พระสงฆ์มีการอนุรักษ์โบราณสถานและโบราณวัตถุทางพระพุทธศาสนาของวัดในเขตอำเภอเมืองสุพรรณบุรี จังหวัดสุพรรณบุรี โดยภาพรวมอยู่ในระดับปานกลาง มีค่าเฉลี่ยเท่ากับ ( = 2.956) และเมื่อพิจารณาเป็นรายด้าน พบว่า อยู่ในระดับปานกลาง โดยด้านที่มีค่าเฉลี่ยสูงสุดคือ ด้านการดูแลรักษาโบราณสถาน โบราณวัตถุ มีค่าเฉลี่ยเท่ากับ 3.447 และด้านที่มีค่าเฉลี่ยต่ำสุด คือ ด้านความร่วมมือในการอนุรักษ์โบราณสถาน โบราณวัตถุกับหน่วยงานราชการ มีค่าเฉลี่ยเท่ากับ 2.413

 

             2. ผลการเปรียบเทียบการอนุรักษ์โบราณสถานและโบราณวัตถุทางพระพุทธศาสนาของวัดในเขตอำเภอเมืองสุพรรณบุรี จังหวัดสุพรรณบุรี จำแนกตามสถานภาพส่วนบุคคล ทดสอบสมมติฐานตัวแปร พบว่า พระสงฆ์ผู้ตอบแบบสอบถามที่มีอายุ พรรษา วุฒิการศึกษาสามัญ วุฒิการศึกษาทางธรรม และวุฒิการ ศึกษาเปรียญธรรม แตกต่างกัน มีการอนุรักษ์โบราณสถานและโบราณวัตถุทางพระพุทธศาสนาของวัดในเขตอำเภอเมืองสุพรรณบุรี จังหวัดสุพรรณบุรี แตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ 0.05 จึงยอมรับสมมติฐานที่ตั้งไว้ 

             3. ปัญหา อุปสรรคเกี่ยวกับการอนุรักษ์โบราณสถานและโบราณวัตถุทางพระพุทธศาสนาของวัดในเขตอำเภอเมืองสุพรรณบุรี จังหวัดสุพรรณบุรี พบว่า พระสงฆ์ยังขาดความเข้าใจในหลักการอนุรักษ์ที่ถูกต้อง พระสงฆ์ขาดการทำหน้าที่เผยแผ่ความรู้ด้านอนุรักษ์อย่างจริงจัง และขาดความร่วมมือกันในการป้องกันผลกระทบจากสิ่งแวดล้อมที่จะเกิดขึ้นกับแหล่งโบราณสถาน ข้อเสนอแนะ พบว่า ควรส่งเสริมให้มีการอบรมด้านการอนุรักษ์แก่พระสงฆ์ในพื้นที่แหล่งโบราณสถาน โดยเผยแผ่ความรู้ด้านการอนุรักษ์ในเทศกาลสำคัญ และส่งเสริมให้มีส่วนร่วมในการป้องกันผลกระทบจากสิ่งแวดล้อมที่จะเกิดขึ้นกับแหล่งโบราณสถาน ส่วนแนวทางในการส่งเสริมการอนุรักษ์โบราณสถานและโบราณวัตถุทางพระพุทธศาสนาของวัดในเขตอำเภอเมืองสุพรรณบุรี จังหวัดสุพรรณบุรี พบว่า พระสงฆ์ควรจะเป็นกำลังหลักในการดูแลรักษาเสนาสนะของวัด จึงต้องมีความรู้ในเรื่องอนุรักษ์โบราณสถานโบราณวัตถุของวัดเป็นอย่างดี มีการจัดกิจกรรมเพื่อให้ความรู้ที่ถูกต้องในการอนุรักษ์และเผยแผ่ความรู้ออกไปในรูปแบบของวิธีการให้แพร่หลายแก่ประชาชน ต้องสร้างจิตสำนึกให้เกิดขึ้นระหว่างเจ้าหน้าที่ของรัฐกับพระสงฆ์ โดยวัดกับชุมชนและภาครัฐควรจะต้องให้ความช่วยเหลือเกื้อกูลกันตามความต้องการของประชาชน

 

           This thesis aimed to (1) study the conservation of Buddhist archaeological sites and antiques of temples in Mueang Suphan Buri District Area, Suphan Buri Province; (2) compare the conservation of Buddhist archaeological sites and antiques of temples in Mueang Suphan Buri District Area, Suphan Buri Province; (3) investigate problems, obstacles and suggestions for conservation of Buddhist archaeological sites and antiques of temples in Mueang Suphan Buri District Area, Suphan Buri Province.  The sample was 274 monks in Sangha Administrative Area of Mueang District, Suphan Buri Province. The study was mixed methods research consisting of quantitative and qualitative researches. The data was analyzed by using statistical values consisting of Frequency, Percentage, Mean and Standard Deviation. The hypothesis was tested using One-Way ANOVA and data from interview was analyzed using content analysis technique.

 

 

             1. The monks had overall conservation of Buddhist archaeological sites and antiques of temples in Mueang Suphan Buri District Area, Suphan Buri Province at a moderate level ( =2.956). When considering as each aspect, it was found that it was at a moderate level by the maintenance of archaeological sites and antiques had the highest level with the mean of 3.447, and the cooperation for conservation of archaeological sites and antiques with government agencies had the lowest level with the mean of 2.413.

          2. The comparison of conservation of Buddhist archaeological sites and antiques of temples in Mueang Suphan Buri District Area, Suphan Buri Province by classifying with personal status for testing the hypothesis, it was found that  the respondents with different years of ordination as monk, ordinary education levels, Buddhist education levels and education level in Buddhist theology played a role in the conservation of Buddhist archaeological sites and antiques in Mueang Suphan Buri District, Suphan Buri Province were statistically significantly different at level of 0.05. It therefore accepted the hypothesis.

 

           3. Problems and obstacles on the conservation of Buddhist archaeological sites and antiques of temples in Mueang Suphan Buri District Area, Suphan Buri Province were the monks lacked the correct understanding on the principles of conservation, dissemination of knowledge on conservation intensively and cooperation for preventing the impacts of environment that would affect the archaeological sites. The suggestions were there should be training on conservation to the monks in the area of archaeological sites by disseminating knowledge on conservation in the important festivals and promoting the participation for preventing the impacts of environment that would affect the archaeological sites. The guidelines for promoting the role of monks on conservation of archaeological sites and antiques in Mueang Suphan Buri District, Suphan Buri Province were the monks should be a major force for maintaining the monk’s residences of the temples, therefore, they should have knowledge on conservation of archaeological sites and antiques of temples well, activities for giving the correct knowledge on conservation and dissemination of knowledge in different ways to people, make a conscience between government officials and monks. The temples, communities and government sector should help and support each other according to the people’s requirements.
