การวิจัยเรื่อง “การพัฒนาแหล่งท่องเที่ยวเชิงวัฒนธรรมโดยการมีส่วนร่วมขององค์กรปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่น ในอำเภอเมือง จังหวัดสุพรรณบุรี” มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ (1) เพื่อศึกษาระดับการพัฒนาแหล่งท่องเที่ยวเชิงวัฒนธรรมโดยการมีส่วนร่วมขององค์กรปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่นในอำเภอเมือง จังหวัดสุพรรณบุรี (2) เพื่อเปรียบเทียบความคิดเห็นของประชาชนต่อการพัฒนาแหล่งท่องเที่ยวเชิงวัฒนธรรมโดยการมีส่วนร่วมขององค์กรปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่นในอำเภอเมือง จังหวัดสุพรรณบุรี (3) เพื่อศึกษาแนวทางการพัฒนาแหล่งท่องเที่ยวเชิงวัฒนธรรมโดยการมีส่วนร่วมขององค์กรปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่นในอำเภอเมือง จังหวัดสุพรรณบุรี โดยในการวิจัยในครั้งนี้ เป็นการวิจัยแบบผสานวิธี (Mixed Method Research) โดยประกอบด้วยการวิจัยเชิงปริมาณ (Quantitative Research) จากกลุ่มประชากร จำนวน 385 คน และการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ โดยการสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึก จากผู้ให้ข้อมูลสำคัญ จำนวน 9 รูป/คน

ผลการวิจัยพบว่า

              ปัจจัยส่วนบุคคลของประชาชนที่ตอบแบบสอบถาม พบว่า เป็น เพศหญิง จํานวน 211 คน คิดเป็นร้อยละ 54.80 มีอายุมากกว่า 51 ปี ขึ้นไป จํานวน 134 คน คิดเป็น ร้อยละ 34.80  มีระดับการศึกษา ต่ำกว่ามัธยม จํานวน 202 คน คิดเป็นร้อยละ 52.50 มีอาชีพรับจ้าง จำนวน 142 คน คิดเป็นร้อยละ 36.90 มีรายได้ 5,001 - 10,000 บาท จำนวน 163 คน คิดเป็นร้อยละ 42.30 จำนวนครั้งที่มาเที่ยว 2 - 5 ครั้ง มีจำนวน 175 คน คิดเป็นร้อยละ 45.50    

               ระดับความคิดเห็นของประชาชนที่มีต่อการพัฒนาแหล่งท่องเที่ยวเชิงวัฒนธรรมโดยการมีส่วนร่วมขององค์กรปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่นในอำเภอเมือง จังหวัดสุพรรณบุรี พบว่า ความคิดเห็นของประชาชนที่มีต่อการพัฒนาแหล่งท่องเที่ยวเชิงวัฒนธรรมโดยการมีส่วนร่วมขององค์กรปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่นในอำเภอเมือง จังหวัดสุพรรณบุรี โดยภาพรวม อยู่ในระดับมาก มีค่าเฉลี่ยเท่ากับ 4.18 เมื่อพิจารณาเป็นรายด้าน พบว่า หลักที่มีค่าเฉลี่ยสูงสุด ได้แก่ ด้านการพัฒนาสิ่งแวดล้อม อยู่ในระดับมาก มีค่าเฉลี่ยเท่ากับ 4.22 ส่วนหลักที่มีค่าเฉลี่ยต่ำสุด ได้แก่ ด้านการพัฒนาศาสนบุคคลหรือบุคลากร อยู่ในระดับมาก มีค่าเฉลี่ยเท่ากับ 4.13 

               แนวทางการพัฒนาแหล่งท่องเที่ยวเชิงวัฒนธรรมโดยการมีส่วนร่วมขององค์กรปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่นในอำเภอเมือง จังหวัดสุพรรณบุรี พบว่า      ด้านการพัฒนาศาสนสถาน ควรให้เป็นสถานที่ร่มรื่นกับผู้คน เหมาะแก่การท่องเที่ยว ด้านการพัฒนาศาสนบุคคลหรือบุคลากร ภายในวัดแต่ละวัดนั้น ควรเริ่มจากบุคลากรที่ทำหน้าที่ในการบริการภายในวัดนั้นๆ มีจำนวนเพียงพอ ด้านการพัฒนากิจกรรมภายในวัด วัดจะต้องสะอาดมีการจัดสถานที่ให้ร่มรื่น เงียบสงบ เหมาะแก่การปฏิบัติธรรม ด้านการพัฒนาสิ่งแวดล้อม ในบริเวณท่องเที่ยวควรมีการปลูกไม้ดอกไม้ประดับเพื่อความสงบ ร่มรื่นและสวยงามพุทธศาสนิกชนผ่านไปผ่านมา เห็นจะได้รู้สีกผ่อนคลาย ศาสนสถานสิ่งก่อสร้างต้องมีภาพโดยรวมของวัดต้องมีทัศนียภาพที่สวยงาม

บทคัดย่อภาษาอังกฤษ

The study entitled “The Development of Cultural Attractions through the Participation of Local Government Organizations in Mueang District, Suphanburi Province” consisted of the following objectives: 1) to investigate the level of development of cultural attractions through the participation of local government organizations in Mueang District, Suphanburi Province; 2) to compare the people’s opinions toward the development of cultural attractions through the participation of local government organizations in Mueang District, Suphanburi Province; and 3) to study the guidelines for developing the cultural attractions through the participation of local government organizations in Mueang District, Suphanburi Province. The study used a mixed-methods approach that included qualitative and quantitative methodologies. Quantitative data were collected with 385 persons. While the qualitative data were acquired by mean of in-depth interviews with 9 key informants.

From the study, the following results have been found:

Personal factors of people who responded to the questionnaires are as follows: 211 people, or 54.80%, are female; 134 people, or 34.80%, are over the age of 51; 202 people, or 52.50%, have an education level lower than secondary education; 142 people, or 36.90%, work as employee; 163 people, or 42.30%, earn between 5,001 to 10,000 baht; and lastly, 175 people, or 45.50%, used to travel there 2-5 times.

The level of people’s opinions toward the development of cultural attractions through the participation of local government organizations in Mueang District, Suphanburi Province is found to be overall at a high level with a mean of 4.18. When all aspects are considered, it is found that environmental development has the highest level of mean at 4.22, while the development of religious personnel has the lowest level of mean at 4.13.

The guidelines for the development of cultural attractions through the participation of local government organizations in Mueang District, Suphanburi Province are found as follows: (1) On the development of religious sites, in which they should be made shady for people and suitable for tourism; (2) On the development of religious personnel inside the temples, where each temple should have sufficient people to provide service; (3) On the development of activities inside the temples, which should be clean and provide shady, peaceful areas suited for meditation; (4) On environmental development, in which the tourism areas should have trees and flowers to provide quiet, shade, and aesthetic to Buddhist visitors so they can feel relaxed, and the religious places  should include overall pictures of the temple and a beautiful vista.
