บทคัดย่อภาษาไทย

            วิทยานิพนธ์ฉบับนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาแนวทางการอนุรักษ์ประเพณีท้องถิ่นทางพระพุทธศาสนาของชุมชนชาวมอญ อ.สามโคก จ.ปทุมธานี เพื่อศึกษาหลักธรรมทางพระพุทธศาสนาที่เกี่ยวข้องกับประเพณีท้องถิ่นของชุมชนชาวมอญ และเพื่อวิเคราะห์แนวทางการอนุรักษ์ประเพณีท้องถิ่นทางพระพุทธศาสนาของชุมชนชาวมอญ อ.สามโคก จ.ปทุมธานี เป็นการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ (Qualitative Research) และภาคสนาม โดยการสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึก (In-Depth Interview) กับผู้ให้ข้อมูลสำคัญ (Key Informants) 5 กลุ่ม คือ 1) ปราชญ์ชาวบ้าน 2) ผู้สูงอายุในชุมชน 3) กำนัน 4) ผู้ใหญ่บ้าน 5) เจ้าหน้าที่เทศบาล

            ผลการวิจัยพบว่า การอนุรักษ์ประเพณีท้องถิ่นของชุมชนชาวมอญ อ.สามโคก จ. ปทุมธานี โดยการปลุกจิตสำนึกให้กับเยาวชนตระหนักถึงคุณค่า ความสำคัญของประเพณีวัฒนธรรมและภูมิปัญญาท้องถิ่น สนับสนุนส่งเสริมกิจกรรมประเพณีและวัฒนธรรม ปลุกจิตจิตสำนึกการหวงแหนความเป็นคนท้องถิ่น การรักษาฟื้นฟู ให้มีความสำคัญต่อการดำเนินชีวิตในท้องถิ่น โดยเฉพาะพื้นฐานทางจริยธรรมคุณธรรม และค่านิยม การพัฒนาเริ่มต้นด้วยการเลือกสรรค์ปัญญาในอดีตด้วยเหตุผลอย่างรอบคอบและรอบด้านก่อนแล้วไปถ่ายทอดให้คนในสังคมรับรู้ ให้มีการเผยแพร่ภูมิปัญญาท้องถิ่นต่าง ๆ การยกย่องปราชญ์ท้องถิ่นโดยการส่งเสริมและสนับสนุนการพัฒนาศักยภาพของชาวบ้านและผู้เกี่ยวข้องให้มีโอกาสแสดงศักยภาพด้านภูมิปัญญา ความรู้ความสามารถอย่างเต็มที่ 

            หลักธรรมทางพระพุทธศาสนาที่เกี่ยวข้องกับประเพณีท้องถิ่นของชุมชนชาวมอญ อ.สามโคก จ.ปทุมธานี พบว่า ประเพณีสำคัญคือ ประเพณีความเชื่อเรื่องวิญญาณ ประเพณีการละเล่น ประเพณีเทศกาลต่าง ๆ ในแต่ละประเพณีจะแฝงหลักธรรมทางพระพุทธศาสนา เช่นความกตัญญู คารวตา 6 และหลักสาราณียธรรม 6 และความสามัคคี และรูปแบบแนวทางการอนุรักษ์ประเพณีท้องถิ่นทางพระพุทธศาสนามี 6 ประการ คือ 1) การอบรม บอกเล่าประเพณีต่าง ๆ จากครอบครัว 2) การถ่ายทอดบอกเล่า และการปฏิบัติตามจากรุ่นสู่รุ่น 3) การเสริมสร้างปราชญ์ท้องถิ่น 4) การสร้างจิตสำนึกให้เห็นคุณค่าของอัตลักษณ์ทางประเพณีวัฒนธรรม 5) การส่งเสริมกิจกรรมทางประเพณีวัฒนธรรมและภูมิปัญญาท้องถิ่น 6) การเผยแพร่แลกเปลี่ยน 

            รูปแบบหรือแนวทางการอนุรักษ์ประเพณีของชุมชนชาวมอญคือ การจัดโครงการเพื่อผึกอบรมเยาวชน โดยมีปราชญ์ชุมชนถ่ายทอดประเพณีวัฒนธรรมของชาวมอญ มีการร่วมอนุรักษ์ประเพณีวัฒนธรรมท้องถิ่น ให้เยาวชนได้เรียนรู้วิถีชีวิตแบบเรียบง่าย เรียนรู้เรื่องการอนุรักษ์การละเล่นแบบพื้นบ้านของท้องถิ่นที่มีส่วนเกี่ยวข้องกับประเพณีวัฒนธรรมอันทรงคุณค่าโดยใช้วิถีการดำเนินชีวิตกับประเพณีวัฒนธรรม รู้ถึงคุณค่าของวัฒนธรรม และรักในบ้านเกิดของตนเองมากยิ่งขึ้น

บทคัดย่อภาษาอังกฤษ

The purposes of this thesis were to study the guideline for Buddhist local tradition preservation of Mon community in Sam Khok district, Pathum Thani province, study the Buddhist teachings related to the local traditions of the Mon community, and to analyze the guideline for Buddhist local tradition preservation of Mon community in Sam Khok district, Pathum Thani province. It was qualitative research with fieldwork by in-depth interviews with 5 groups of key informants: 1) village scholars, 2) elders in community, 3) subdistrict chiefs, 4) village headmen, 5) municipal officials.

The results showed that preservation of local traditions of the Mon community, Sam Khok district, Pathum Thani province was handed on by raising awareness among youth to realize the values and importance of cultural traditions and local wisdom, supportive promoting various traditional and cultural activities, encouraging the awareness of cherishing the local people, recovering the local traditions in daily living especially the ethics, morals and values. Development begins with the local knowledge selection from the past with careful and thorough reason before transferring it to people in society, local wisdom promotion, praising local philosophers by promoting and support the villagers and related persons to find out the opportunity for presenting their wisdom, potential with full skills.

Buddhist teachings related to the local traditions of Mon community, Sam Khok district, Pathum Thani province, found that the important traditions were spirit belief, play traditions, festivals, in each tradition there found the hidden Buddhist teachings such as gratitude, 6 respects and 6 states of conciliation and unity. there were 6 ways of preserving the Buddhist local traditions; 1) Training members of families for tradition recognition, 2) Handing on the performance from generation to next generation, 3) Promoting local scholars, 4) Raising awareness of the cultural traditions’ value, 5) Constant promotion of cultural traditions and local wisdom activities, 6) Dissemination and exchange.

The guidelines of preserving the traditions of Mon community at Sam Khok district, Pathum Thani province were; organizing the projects and activities for the youth by inviting the community scholars to teach and guide the Mon traditions and cultures, joint hand for preserving the local cultural traditions, the youth would learn a simple and happy way of living and the preservation of local folk, plays, games related to valuable cultural traditions by using lifestyles and cultural traditions, recognizing cultural value and love their homeland more.
