บทคัดย่อภาษาไทย

             การวิจัยครั้งนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์ 1) เพื่อศึกษาโครงสร้างและสาระสำคัญของปัตตกัมมสูตร 2) เพื่อศึกษาหลักธรรมในปัตตกัมมสูตร 3) เพื่อวิเคราะห์หลักธรรมอันเป็นประโยชน์ที่ควรถือเอาในปัตตกัมมสูตร การวิจัยเป็นแบบวิจัยด้านเอกสาร (Documentary Reseach) 

              ผลการวิจัยพบว่า โครงสร้างปัตตกัมมสูตร ปรากฏในโครงสร้างพระไตรปิฎก ประมวลพุทธพจน์ หมวดพระสูตร เล่มที่ 21 พระสุตตันตปิฎก อังคุตตรนิกาย ชุมนุมพระสูตรที่จัดเป็นหมวดตามจำนวนข้อธรรม จตุกกนิบาต ว่าด้วยธรรมหมวด 4 ทุติยปัณณาสก์ปัตตกัมมวรรค พระสูตรที่ 2 ของวรรค เนื้อหาสาระสำคัญเกิดขึ้นจากพระพุทธเจ้าทรงมีพระมหากรุณาธิคุณต่ออนาถบิณฑิกคหบดีตรัสประทานตรัสธรรม 4 ประการ ในทางโลกที่หายากด้วยการอ้อนวอนขอพร เปรียบเทียบกับธรรมที่เกิดจากการเพียรกระทำเพื่อความถึงพร้อมด้วยธรรม 4 ประการ ให้ดำรงอยู่ด้วยธรรมคือ ศรัทธา ศีล ทาน ปัญญา ส่งผลต่อการกระทำอันควร 4 ประการ ทำเป็นนิสัยไม่ละเมิดกุศลกรรมบถ 10 เมื่อขณะที่จะหมดลมสิ้นชีวิต มีจิตสุดท้ายระลึกคำนึงถึงกรรมอันสมควรที่ได้ทำมาเสมอเป็นอารมณ์อย่างแน่วแน่เป็นสมาธิระลึก เป็นผู้ตั้งอยู่ในอริยธรรม จนหมดลมสิ้นชีวิตจากไป มีสวรรค์เป็นที่หวังได้  

              หลักธรรมในปัตตกัมมสูตร ธรรมที่เป็นสิ่งน่าใคร่ น่าปรารถนาหาได้ยากทางโลกเป็นศรัทธาที่ประพฤติปฏิบัติตามคัมภีร์พระเวทด้วยการอ้อนวอนขอ ธรรมที่เกิดจากความเพียร 4 ประการ สัทธาสัมปทา สีลสัมปทา จาคสัมปทา ปัญญาสัมปทา นิวรณ์ 5 เป็นธรรมที่กั้นจิตไม่ให้บรรลุความดี สติปัฏฐาน 4 เป็นธรรมเพื่อให้สติสัมปัญชัญญะสมบูรณ์รู้ชัด ภาวนา มีองค์แห่งฌาน 5 ที่เป็นปฏิปักษ์กับนิวรณ์ 5 สงบลงในช่วงเอกัคคตาปรากฏ ฌาน ขึ้น สงบจากบาปอกุศลทั้งหลายด้วยอำนาจสมาธิ การละกิเลสได้ด้วยอรหัตตมรรค ดำรงในปัญญาสัมปทา ดำรงอยู่ในธรรม 4 ประการคือ ศรัทธา ศีล จาคะ ปัญญา เมื่อจิตใจภายในบริสุทธิ์เบาบางจากกิเลส ส่งผลให้การกระทำมีความละเอียดปราณีต ทำการกระทำอันสมควรในสิ่งที่เป็นมงคลสูงสุดตลอดชีวิต ผลของการกระทำ เมื่อสิ้นชีวิตไป จึงไม่มีกลัวความตาย เชื่อมั่นในผลของการกระทำ มีสวรรค์เป็นที่ไปในเบื้องต้น

             หลักธรรมอันเป็นประโยชน์ที่ควรถือเอาในปัตตกัมมสูตรพบว่า ธรรมที่เป็นสิ่งน่าใคร่ น่าปรารถนาหาได้ยากทางโลก 1) เกิดขึ้นจากขันธ์ 5 เพลิดเพลินในกามคุณ 5 ด้วยอำนาจกิเลสครอบงำ 2) เกิดขึ้นจากแรงกดดันจารีตในศาสนาพราหมณ์-ฮินดู เพื่อสวดอ้อนวอนให้พระเจ้าพึงใจ 3) อุปมาที่พระพุทธเจ้าทรงยกขึ้นมาเปรียบเทียบ ธรรมพระพุทธศาสนาตรวจสอบก่อนปลงใจเชื่อ 10 ประการ รู้ถ่องแท้เพื่อแยกแยะ ประโยชน์ คุณ โทษ ไม่เกื้อกูล เพื่อทุกข์ เมื่อรู้แล้วจึงละธรรมนั้น ดังนั้นประโยชน์ที่ควรถือเอาในปัตตกัมมสูตร สามารถปฏิบัติด้วยธรรม 4 ประการ คือ ศรัทธา ศีล จาคะ และปัญญา จึงจะได้สิ่งที่หาได้ยากทั้ง 4 ประการ คือ ทรัพย์ ยศ อายุยืน และสุคติโลกสวรรค์
