ดุษฎีนิพนธ์นี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ดังนี้ (1)เพื่อสำรวจสภาพที่เป็นอยู่และปัญหาที่ต้องการแก้ไขของชุมชนรอบวัดสุทัศน์เทพวรารามราชวรมหาวิหาร (2) เพื่อวิเคราะห์หลักการเสริมสร้างคุณธรรมจริยธรรมเพื่อส่งเสริมการมีส่วนร่วมตามหลักฆราวาสธรรม 4 ของชุมชนรอบวัดสุทัศนเทพวรารามราชวรมหาวิหาร (3) เพื่อเสนอรูปแบบการเสริมสร้างคุณธรรม จริยธรรมเพื่อส่งเสริมสร้างการมีส่วนร่วมตามหลักฆราวาสธรรม 4 ของชุมชนรอบวัดสุทัศน์เทพวรารามราชวรมหาวิหารซึ่งเป็นการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ (ภาคสนาม) ผู้ให้ข้อมูลสำคัญคือพระสงฆ์ที่ทำหน้าที่ส่งเสริมคุณธรรมจริยธรรม บุคลากรในหน่วยงานต่างๆและประชาชน ผู้ได้รับการส่งเสริมคุณธรรม รวมจำนวน 25 รูป/คน เครื่องมือคือแบบสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึก นำเสนอการวิเคราะห์ในรูปแบบพรรณนาวิเคราะห์ (Analytical Description)

ผลการวิจัยพบว่า:

สภาพการเป็นอยู่ของคนในชุมชนส่วนใหญ่คนในชุมชนนิยมประกอบอาชีพค้าขายตั้งแต่อดีตจนถึงปัจจุบันประชากรส่วนใหญ่ของชุมชนเป็นคนไทยเชื้อสายจีนแทบทั้งหมดซึ่งมีความหลากหลายของประเพณีและความเชื่อส่วนปัญหาที่ต้องได้รับการแก้ไขของชุมชนคือการส่งเสริมคุณธรรม จริยธรรมมีทั้งเรื่องทางศาสนา การเปลี่ยนแปลงทางสังคมค่านิยม การนำวัฒนธรรมที่ไม่เหมาะสมเข้ามาจากต่างวัฒนธรรม การทุจริตพฤติกรรมที่ไม่เหมาะสมของคนในชุมชน เป็นต้น

หลักการเสริมสร้างคุณธรรมจริยธรรมเพื่อส่งเสริมการมีส่วนร่วมตามหลักหราวาสธรรม ๔ คือหัวใจสำคัญของการยกระดับฐานะความเป็นอยู่ของชุมชนให้ดีขึ้นกับความต้องการและความสามารถของชุมชนเอง ที่จะใช้ทรัพยากรที่มีอยู่ทั้งความคิด กำลังกาย ฝีมือ ซึ่งเป็นสิ่งที่ซ่อนเร้นอยู่ในตัวบุคคลหรือชุมชน มาใช้ให้เกิดประโยชน์ต่อชุมชนที่จะเพิ่มรายได้ในการประกอบอาชีพจะต้องเป็นไปเพื่อเปลี่ยนแปลงชีวิตจิตใจและความรู้สึกของคนในชุมชนให้มีความรู้สึกที่ต้องการความเป็นอยู่ที่ดีขึ้น มีความกระตือรือร้น สนใจ เสียสละร่วมงานในชุมชน ร่วมแก้ปัญหาอย่างสร้างสรรค์ตามหลักฆราวาสธรรม 4 ให้มีความสุข ทั้งกาย วาจา และทางจิตใจในการประกอบอาชีพของคนในชุมชนโดยการสร้างจิตสำนึกให้คนในชุมชนรอบวัดอยากเห็นชุมชนเปลี่ยนแปลงไปในทางที่ดีขึ้น เพื่อร่วมสร้างคุณประโยชน์ให้แก่ชุมชนส่วนร่วม

รูปแบบการเสริมสร้างคุณธรรม จริยธรรมเพื่อส่งเสริมการมีส่วนร่วมของคนในชุมชนที่มีความหลากหลายมากทั้งทางตรง และทางอ้อม โดยมุ่งให้ทุกคนมีโอกาส มีส่วนร่วม เรียนรู้การอยู่ร่วมกันการเอื้อเฟื้อ ช่วยเหลือ พึ่งพากัน ฝึกอาชีพ และทำประโยชน์ให้ส่วนรวมที่จะส่งผลให้คนในชุมชนรับรู้เจตนารมณ์ของชุมชนยอมรับการเปลี่ยนแปลงที่จะเกิดขึ้นในที่สุดที่มีทั้งสัจจะ ทมะ ขันติและจาคะที่จะส่งเสริมให้ชุมชนรอบวัดเกิดความสุขร่มเย็นในการพัฒนาชุมชนให้เป็นแบบอย่างในการส่งเสริมคุณธรรม จริยธรรมสร้างสัจจะสร้างทมะ ฝึกฝนตนเองให้มีรู้จักการแก้ไขข้อบกพร่องปรับปรุงจิตสำนึกสร้างขันติความอดทนต่อความยากลำบากมีวิสัยทัศน์ในการพัฒนาชุมชน มีเป้าหมายและแนวทางในการเปลี่ยนแปลงชุมชนให้ดีขึ้นและสร้างคุณธรรม จริยธรรมด้วยจาคะสละหรือยินดีกับคนในชุมชนที่เป็นข้อประพฤติปฏิบัติที่เป็นประโยชน์และสร้างความสุข

บทคัดย่อภาษาอังกฤษ

               In this dissertation, three objectives were purposely made:1) to survey the present states of living and problems needed to be solved by the community surrounding Wat Suthat Thepwararam Ratchaworamahawihan, 2) to analyze the principles for enhancing virtues and ethics to support the participation according to four virtues for being a good household life of the community surrounding WatSuthatThepwararamRatchaworamahawihan, and 3) to propose the model for enhancing the virtues and ethics to support the participation according to four virtues for being a good household life of the community surrounding Wat Suthat Thepwararam Ratchaworamahawihan. This research employed the qualitative research methodology collected data from field research. In this, 25 Key Informants, Buddhist monks and personnels in various organizations and people who were regarded as virtues supporters were selected as population whereby in-depth interview was done and then the contents analysis was done through the description.

             The findings are as follows:

              When it comes to the present states of living of people in the community, most of them have been running their own trading since the past till the present . Most of population in the community are of Chinese origin as the majority where variety of tradition and belief. As regards problems need to be solved by the community, they are of the support of virtues and ethics both in religion, changing social values, introducing in inappropriate cultures and corruption that are not improper to people in the community etc.

              As far as the principles for enhancing the virtues and ethics to support the participation according to according to four virtues for being a good household life whereby they would uplift the states of living of people in the community to higher level based on the need and ability of such a community resulting in utilizing the existing resources, be they thought, physical power, or skills that are tacit in people or community are concerned, they need to bring more income to the community while working for the cost of living; they must be in the ways that could transform mind-set and feeling of people in the community leading to the betterment of living life where they are enthusiastic, paying attention and voluntarily helpful to the communityin order to solve problems accruing to the principle of four virtues for being a good household life togetherso as to obtain the bodily, verbal and mental happiness and this would be possible when people in the community are made fully aware of the transformation of the community to the good condition that would benefit the whole community as a result of such changes.

              The model for enhancing the virtues and ethics to support the participation of people in the community needs be varied both in direct and indirect ways where people find the opportunity to join, learn how to live together, being supportive one another, depending on each other, working and benefitting the collective ones where people in the community would realize the community’s will in changing that needs to be raised. Finally, in this matter, there must be truthfulness, endurance, patience, and generosity that would support the community surrounding the temple living happily and peacefully while developing the community to meet the model in enhancing certain virtues and ethics. It is said that people are transformed through truthfulness, endurance, patience, and generosity leading to the place where they understand how to solve and adjust themselves if needed; they know how to be patient while undergoing the difficulties in order to get their community developed with a view to putting the clear-cut goal at the higher level in front of the changing through building up the virtues and ethics by people where the great deal of benefit and happiness would be yielded respectively.
