The objectives of the study were 1) to study the process and communication skills in the astrology forecasting based on Buddhist Psychology; 2) to analyze the communicating model based on Buddhist Psychology; and 3) to propose a model of the astrology forecasting based on Buddhist Psychology. The study was a qualitative research in nature, using an in-depth interview to collect data from 17 key informants and a focus group discussion with 9 specialists. The obtained data were analyzed using content analysis and triangulation method.

               The findings of the study were as follows:

               1. The process and communication skills in the astrology forecasting based on Buddhist Psychology consisted of 3 aspects including 1) for the communicating process in the astrology forecasting based on Buddhist Psychology - an astrologer had to depend upon a study of the psychological structure of people in the astrology of horoscope in association with the knowledge of astrology in the forecasting the horoscope; 2) for the communicating skills process in the astrology forecasting based on Buddhist Psychology was the regular observation of ancient people for recording incidents in the world and collecting as the record as the knowledge from the experiences; and 3) for the characteristics of an astrologer based on Buddhist Psychology comprised the astrologer’s keeping clients’ secret, without cursing prophecy, without the affecting the clients though, even if it is true, without support the clients to bring about illegal deeds and against morality.

               2. The result of analyzing the communicating model based on Buddhist Psychology comprised 3 aspects including 1) for the communication based on Psychology, it consisted of the concept of communication, process and steps of communication, effective communication methods, and communicating skills; 2) for the communication based on Buddhism, it consisted of the Buddhist doctrines and methods used for the communication based on Buddhism; and 3) for the concept of astrology forecasting, it comprised  its meaning and importance, its characteristics, its process and steps, and its communicating skills. 

               3. A model of the astrology forecasting based on Buddhist Psychology possessed 5 aspects including 1) the knowledge and understanding of the astrology based on Buddhist Psychology had to depend upon a study of the psychological structure of people in the astrology of horoscope in association with the knowledge of astrology in the forecasting the horoscope; 2) the objectives of astrology forecasting based on Buddhist Psychology resulted in understanding self and others’ potential to be with others appropriately; 3) for the characteristics of an astrologer based on Buddhist Psychology comprised the astrologer’s keeping clients’ secret, without cursing prophecy, without the affecting the clients though, even if it is true, without support the clients to bring about illegal deeds and against morality; 4) for the communicating process in the astrology forecasting based on Buddhist Psychology, the astrologer acted like psychiatrist for suggesting ways to solve problems and encourage for earning living; and 5) the communicating skills in the astrology forecasting based on Buddhist Psychology and what the astrology focuses included planets, the meaning of planets, the orbit of the stars, zodiac, zodiac elements, the meaning of the element, influence of symbols and meanings, fateful aspects, and relationship angle.
