บทคัดย่อภาษาไทย

               งานวิจัยเรื่อง “ศึกษาหลักพุทธธรรมที่ปรากฏในจิตรกรรมฝาผนังพระอุโบสถวัดพระเชตุพนวิมลมังคลาราม” มีวัตถุประสงค์ 1) เพื่อศึกษาจิตรกรรมฝาผนังในพระอุโบสถวัดพระเชตุพนวิมลมังคลาราม 2) เพื่อศึกษาประวัติพระสาวกที่ปรากฏในจิตรกรรมฝาผนังวัดพระเชตุพนวิมลมังคลาราม 3) เพื่อศึกษาหลักพุทธธรรมที่ปรากฏในจิตรกรรมฝาผนังในพระอุโบสถวัดพระเชตุพนวิมลมังคลาราม

                 การวิจัยในครั้งนี้เป็นการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ (Qualitative research) การออกแบบการวิจัยนี้มุ่งเน้นการศึกษาเชิงคุณภาพ ซึ่งมีจุดมุ่งหมายเพื่อทำความเข้าใจอย่างลึกซึ้งเกี่ยวกับปรากฏการณ์ในบริบททางสังคมและวัฒนธรรม โดยใช้วิธีการการสังเกตการณ์ (Observation) การสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึก (In-depth Interview) และการวิเคราะห์เอกสาร (Document Analysis)

               ผลการศึกษาพบว่า หลักพุทธธรรมที่พระพุทธเจ้าตรัสสอนพระสาวกที่ปรากฏในจิตรกรรมฝาผนังในพระอุโบสถวัดพระเชตุพนวิมลมังคลารามไม่เพียงแต่เป็นการสำรวจความสวยงามทางศิลปะเท่านั้น แต่ยังเป็นการเข้าใจความหมายและความสำคัญของจิตรกรรมฝาผนังในการสะท้อนและเผยแผ่หลักธรรมคำสอนในพุทธศาสนา ผลการวิจัยนี้เป็นการเปิดเผยว่าจิตรกรรมฝาผนังเหล่านี้ไม่เพียงแต่เป็นงานศิลปะที่มีความสวยงามเท่านั้น แต่ยังมีความหมายที่ลึกซึ้งและสะท้อนถึงความเชื่อและคำสอนที่สำคัญของพุทธศาสนาจิตรกรรมฝาผนังในพระอุโบสถวัดพระเชตุพนเป็นหนึ่งในแหล่งข้อมูลทางประวัติศาสตร์และวัฒนธรรมที่สำคัญซึ่งสะท้อนถึงความเชื่อ ความคิด และคำสอนของพุทธศาสนา จิตรกรรมเหล่านี้ถูกสร้างขึ้นด้วยวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อเผยแพร่และอนุรักษ์คำสอนของพระพุทธเจ้า โดยผ่านเรื่องราวต่าง ๆ ที่บอกเล่าผ่านศิลปะ เช่น พระเวสสันดรชาดก พระพุทธเจ้าทรงโปรดภัตตาหารแก่ภิกษุ และเรื่องราวของพระสาวกต่าง ๆ

บทคัดย่อภาษาอังกฤษ

              The purpose of this study were, 1) to study the murals in the ubosot of Wat Phra Chetuphon Vimolmangklaram, 2) to study the history of the disciples depicted in the murals of Wat Phra Chetuphon Vimolmangklaram, 3) to study the Buddhist principles taught by the Buddha to his disciples as depicted in the murals of the ubosot of Wat Phra Chetuphon Vimolmangklaram. This research is a qualitative research. The research design focuses on qualitative study, which aims to gain a deep understanding of phenomena in social and cultural contexts. The research methods used are observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis.

              The study found that the Buddhist principles taught by the Buddha to his disciples as depicted in the murals of the ubosot of Wat Phra Chetuphon Vimolmangklaram are not only an exploration of artistic beauty, but also an understanding of the meaning and significance of murals in reflecting and disseminating the Dharma teachings of Buddhism. The research findings reveal that these murals are not only beautiful works of art, but also have deep meaning and reflect the important beliefs and teachings of Buddhism. The murals in the ubosot of Wat Phra Chetuphon are one of the important historical and cultural sources that reflect the beliefs, thoughts, and teachings of Buddhism. These murals were created with the purpose of disseminating and preserving the teachings of the Buddha, through various stories told through art, such as the Vessantara Jataka, the Buddha offering alms to monks, and the stories of various disciples.

               The murals in the ubosot of Wat Phra Chetuphon Vimolmangklaram are a valuable source of information for understanding the Buddhist principles taught by the Buddha to his disciples. The murals are not only beautiful works of art, but also have deep meaning and reflect the important beliefs and teachings of Buddhism. The study of these murals can help us to gain a better understanding of Buddhism and its role in Thai culture.
