บทคัดย่อภาษาไทย

ในการจัดทำวิทยานิพนธ์เล่มนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์ 3 ประการ คือ 1) เพื่อเพื่อศึกษาสภาพ บริบทของ WAT Next ที่มีต่อวัดใหม่ (ยายแป้น) 2) เพื่อศึกษาหลักพุทธธรรมที่เอื้อต่อการพัฒนาวัดในการเสริมสร้างชุมชนสันติสุข 3) เพื่อวิเคราะห์กระบวนการของ WAT Next ต่อการเสริมสร้างวัดและชุมชนสันติสุข เพื่อนำเสนอกระบวนการในการเสริมสร้างชุมชนสันติสุขของวัดใหม่ (ยายแป้น) การดำเนินการวิจัย ใช้รูปแบบการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ (Qualitative Research) โดยการสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึก(In-Depth-interview) กับผู้ให้ข้อมูลสำคัญ (Key Informants) จำนวน 15 คน และได้ทำการสังเกตการณ์ด้วยการเข้าร่วมโครงการต่างๆที่ทางกลุ่ม WAT Next ได้ทำการจัดขึ้น เพื่อเป็นเครื่องมือในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล ผลการวิจัยพบว่า

กลุ่มนิสิตหลักสูตรสันติศึกษา ระดับปริญญาเอกของมหาวิทยาลัยมหาจุฬาลงกรณ์ราชวิทยาลัย ได้มองเห็นถึงสภาพปัญหาหลายประการ ที่ควรได้รับการแก้ไขของวัดใหม่ (ยายแป้น) และชุมชนวัดใหม่ (ยายแป้น) ได้มีการดำริโครงการโดย พระเมธีวัชรบัณฑิต ซึ่งเป็นผู้อำนวยการของหลักสูตร และเป็นเจ้าอาวาสวัดใหม่ (ยายแป้น) ได้มีการจัดทำการประชุมหารือและได้จัดตั้งกลุ่ม WAT Next ขึ้นมาในปี พ.ศ. 2565 เพื่อทำการพัฒนาวัดให้ตอบโจทย์กับความต้องการของสังคมเมืองในยุคปัจจุบัน โดยการจัดทำโครงการต่างๆขึ้นมา และได้มีการดึงพลังของ บ ว ร คือ บ้าน วัด และราชการ เข้ามาร่วมผลักดันให้โครงการสามารถดำเนินไปได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ ผ่านการศึกษาถึงสภาพปัญหาที่เกิดขึ้นกับวัดและชุมชน ด้วยการรับฟังข้อมูลจากทั้งชาวชุมชนและทางวัด และได้มีการออกแบบโครงการต่างๆที่สอดคล้องกับความต้องการของชาวชุมชนขึ้นมา ไม่ว่าจะเป็น การพัฒนาสิ่งแวดล้อมภายในวัดและชุมชน การพัฒนาสติและปัญญาให้กับชาวชุมชนด้วยการปฏิบัติวิปัสสนากรรมฐาน และการลดปัญหาความขัดแย้งที่เกิดขึ้นในชุมชน

โครงการของกลุ่ม WAT Next ที่มีการดำเนินโครงการมาอย่างต่อเนื่อง สามารถตอบโจทย์ความต้องการของชาวชุมชนได้อย่างดีเยี่ยม จากการให้ข้อมูลสัมภาษ์ของผู้ใช้บริการจริง ทำให้โครงการของกลุ่ม WAT Next ได้มีการสนองต่อ 3 กระบวนการหลักที่เป็นหลักธรรมและเป้าหมายในการพัฒนาวัดอันประกอบไปด้วย

1) วัดปัญญา (W: Wisdom) ผ่านการจัดโครงการ สติริมน้ำ อารามตื่นรู้ กิจกรรม วันสังฆทานสติ กิจกรรม การคัดแยกขยะ กิจกรรม การส่งเสริมให้ชาวชุมชนรักษาสิ่งแวดล้อม กิจกรรมการให้ความรู้ทางกฎหมายขั้นพื้นฐาน ส่งเสริมหลักของปัญญา 3 ประการคือ 1) สุตมยปัญญา ปัญญาที่เกิดจากการได้ยินได้ฟัง 2) จินตามยปัญญา ปัญญาที่เกิดจากความคิด และ 3) ภาวนามยปัญญา ปัญญาที่เกิดจากการลงมือปฏิบัติ

2) วัดตื่นรู้ (A: Awereness) โดยมีโครงการ ปลูกสติ สร้างสุข โครงการ สติริมน้ำ อารามตื่นรู้ กิจกรรมปฏิบัติวิปัสสนากรรมฐาน ที่จัดขึ้นทุกวันในวัดใหม่ (ยายแป้น) ส่งเสริมหลักธรรมในการเสริมสร้างสติในด้านหลักของมหาสติปัฏฐาน 4 คือ 1) กาย รับรู้ถึงการมีอยู่ของกาย 2) เวทนา รับรู้ถึงเวทนาต่างๆ ที่เกิดขึ้น 3) จิต รู้เท่าทันจิตของตน 4) ธรรม เข้าใจความจริงของชีวิต

3) วัดมุ่งสู่ความจริง (T: Truth) การจัดตั้งศูนย์ไกล่เกลี่ยข้อพิพาทภาคประชาชนของวัดใหม่ (ยายแป้น) การจัดโครงการพัฒนาผู้ไกล่เกลี่ยจิตอาสา เพื่อขจัดความขัดแย้งที่เกิดขึ้นในชุมชน การจัดโครงการเสริมสร้างครอบครัวสันติสุข และโครงการการสร้างภูมิสถาปัตย์ของวัดใหม่ (ยายแป้น) โครงการเหล่านี้ล้วนเป็นโครงการที่ส่งเสริมการสร้างสันติสุข ด้วยกระบวนการของหลัก อริยสัจ 4 ประการคือ 1) ทุกข์ การรับรู้ถึงปัญหาที่เกิดขึ้น 2) สมุทัย การเข้าใจถึงการเกิดของปัญหา 3) นิโรธ การวางเป้าหมายสำหรับทางออกของปัญหา และ 4) มรรค การหาวิธีการในการแก้ไขปัญหาที่ถูกต้อง ทำให้โครงการเหล่านี้เป็นโครงการที่ตอบโจทย์ ต่อเป้าหมายในการทำวัด ให้เป็นวัดที่มุ่งสู่ความจริงของชีวิต

ทั้งนี้โครงการของกลุ่ม WAT Next ยังคงมีการพัฒนาต่อยอดมาจนถึงปัจจุบัน และมีการพัฒนาโครงการใหม่หลายโครงการขึ้นมาเพื่อ ตอบสนองกับปัญหาที่ยังไม่ได้รับการแก้ใข โครงการ WAT Next จึงสามารถทำให้วัด เป็นวัดที่สามารถตอบโจทย์ความต้องการของชุมชนที่อยู่ท่ามกลางสังคมเมืองที่มีแต่ความวุ่นวาย ได้อย่างแท้จริง

บทคัดย่อภาษาอังกฤษ

In preparing this thesis, there are three main objectives: 1) To study the context of WAT Next's influence on the Watmai (Yaipaen) temple, 2) To examine the Buddhadhamma principle that contribute to temple development in fostering peaceful communities, and 3) To analyze the process of WAT Next's involvement in temple and community development, in order formulate a process for fostering peaceful communities at Watmai (Yaipaen) temple. The research methodology employed qualitative research methods, including in-depth interviews with 15 key informants. Additionally, observations were also conducted through participation in various projects organized by the WAT Next group to serve as analytical tools. The research findings revealed that: The group of doctoral students in peace studies program at Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University (MCU) identified several issues that need to be addressed by Watmai (Yaipaen) temple and its community. In response to these issues, a project was initiated by Phra Medhivajrapundit, the director of the peace studies program and abbot of Watmai (Yaipaen) temple, held meetings and leading to the establishment of the Wat Next group in 2022 (2565 B.E.) to develop the temple to meet the needs of contemporary urban society. Furthermore, various projects were undertaken, and efforts were made to harness the power of (Bowon): community, temple, and government agencies to effectively drive these projects forward through studying the problems faced by the temple and community, and listening to feedback from both community members and the temple. Additionally, projects were designed to address community needs. These projects included environmental development within the temple and community, enhancing mindfulness and intellectual development among community members through Vipassana meditation retreats, and reducing conflicts within the community.

The projects undertaken by the WAT Next group, which have been consistently implemented, have excellently met the needs of the community. Based on interviews from actual users, WAT Next projects have been responsive to the three core processes that are the moral foundation and goals of temple development as follows:

      1) Temple of wisdom (W: Wisdom) through the implementation of various projects such as mindfulness by the water, awakening retreats, Mindful Sanghadana activities, waste separation activities, environmental conservation campaigns, basic legal education workshops, and promoting three aspects of wisdom as follows: 1) Suta-maya-paññā (Learned wisdom) - wisdom acquired through listening, 2) Cinta-maya-paññā (Reflective wisdom) - wisdom acquired from thought or logic and reasoning, and 3) Bhāvanā-maya-paññā (wisdom from spiritual development) - wisdom acquired through direct spiritual experience.

      2) Temple of awareness (A: Awareness) with programs such as cultivating mindfulness and happiness, mindfulness by the water, awakening retreats and Vipassana meditation practice activities held daily at Wat Mai (Yaipaen) temple. These activities promote the principles of mindfulness in cultivating awareness, based on the four foundations of mindfulness: 1) Body (Kāyā) - being aware of the existence of the body, 2) Feelings (Vedanā) - being aware of various feelings that arise, 3) Mind (Cittā) - knowing one's own mind, and 4) Dhammā - understanding the true nature of life.

      3) Temple of truth (T: Truth) involves establishing a community mediation center at Wat Mai (Yaipaen) temple, organizing projects to develop volunteer mediators to address conflicts within the community, promoting peaceful family relationships, and constructing architectural landmarks at Wat Mai (Yai Pan) temple. These projects all aim to promote the cultivation of peace through the principles of four noble truths: 1) Dukkha - recognizing the problems that arise, 2) Samudaya - understanding the causes of the problems, 3) Nirodha - setting goals for resolving the problems, and 4) Magga - finding the correct solutions to the problems. These projects were designed to align with the goal of transforming the temple into one that seeks the truth of life.

Furthermore, the projects of the WAT Next group continue to evolve and develop to the present day, with several new initiatives being launched to address unresolved issues. As a result, WAT Next projects demonstrate its pivotal role in transforming the temple to genuinely meet the needs of the community amidst the chaotic urban society.
