บทคัดย่อภาษาไทย

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ 3 ประการ ดังนี้ 1)  เพื่อศึกษาวิเคราะห์บริบท สภาพปัญหา  อุปสรรค การเผยแผ่พระพุทธศาสนาของสมัชชาสงฆ์ไทยในสหรัฐอเมริกา และแนวคิด หลักการเผยแผ่พระพุทธศาสนา ตามนวัตกรรมร่วมสมัย  2) เพื่อศึกษาวิเคราะห์หลักพุทธสันติวิธีที่เอื้อต่อการเผยแผ่พระพุทธศาสนาของสมัชชาสงฆ์ไทยในสหรัฐอเมริกา และ3) เพื่อนำเสนอกระบวนการเผยแผ่พระพุทธศาสนาของสมัชชาสงฆ์ไทยในสหรัฐอเมริกาโดยพุทธสันติวิธี  เป็นการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ             โดยผลการวิจัยสรุป ได้ดังนี้

ผลการวิจัยพบว่า   

1. สภาพปัญหาของการเผยแผ่พระพุทธศาสนาของสมัชชาสงฆ์ไทยในสหรัฐอเมริกา พระธรรมทูตไม่เข้าใจกลุ่มคนผู้เข้ามาเรียนรู้ปฏิบัติธรรม ขาดประสิทธิภาพในการสื่อสารและการใช้ภาษา สื่อไม่ทันสมัยใช้วิธีแบบดั้งเดิม ให้ความรู้ที่ไม่สอดคล้องกับปัจจุบัน ข้อจำกัดด้านกฎหมาย และขาดความเข้าใจในวัฒนธรรมต่างชาติ โดยพระธรรมทูตจะต้องเกื้อกูลสังคมโดยศึกษาจริตของกลุ่มเป้าหมายอย่างแท้จริง งานเผยแผ่ของสมัชชาสงฆ์ในสหรัฐอเมริกาจะต้องมีหลากหลายวิธี และร่วมกิจกรรมกับวัดต่าง ๆ ไม่ใช่วัดไทยเท่านั้นต้องไปร่วมกิจกรรมของวัดประเทศอื่น ๆ มีการบริการหนังสือธรรมะ วิทยุ บรรยายธรรมออนไลน์ กลุ่มปฏิบัติธรรม กลุ่มทางสังคม โครงการกายใจไปด้วยกัน ตามนโยบายของพระพรหมบัณฑิตว่า ตกปลานอกบ้าน ประสานสิบทิศ ผูกมิตรทั่วหล้า บริหารปัญญา สาริกาป้อนเหยื่อ

2. หลักโอวาทปาฏิโมกข์  หลักการ 3  เป็นหัวใจสำคัญของพระธรรมทูตยึดถือนำไปปฏิบัติให้เข้าถึงจุดมุ่งหมายของพระพุทธศาสนา ได้แก่  ไม่ทำบาป ทำแต่ความดี ทำให้ใจบริสุทธิ์  อุดมการณ์ 4 พระธรรมทูตจำเป็นต้องทำเสมอ ได้แก่ ความอดทน ความอดกลั้น เมื่อประสบกับสิ่งที่ไม่ชอบใจ  ไม่ทำร้าย ไม่เบียดเบียนผู้อื่น  ความสงบ คือ ให้สงบทั้งทางกาย วาจา ใจ นิพพาน คือ การดับทุกข์  เป็นเป้าหมายสูงสุดในพระพุทธศาสนา วิธีการ 6 เป็นแนวทางในการปฏิบัติที่ถูกต้องเหมาะสมสำหรับพระธรรมทูต ได้แก่ การไม่กล่าวร้าย  การไม่ทำร้าย  รักษาความประพฤติให้น่าเลื่อมใส เคารพระเบียบวินัย กฎกติกา ขนบธรรมเนียมประเพณีอันดีงามของสังคม ความเป็นผู้รู้จักประมาณ รู้จักความพอดีในการใช้สอยสิ่งต่าง ๆ อย่างเหมาะสมและพอเพียง  อยู่ในสถานที่ที่มีสิ่งแวดล้อมที่เหมาะสม  ฝึกหัดพัฒนาจิตใจให้สงบ อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพที่ดี

3. กระบวนการเผยแผ่พระพุทธศาสนาของสมัชชาสงฆ์ไทยในสหรัฐอเมริกาโดยพุทธสันติวิธี ได้โมเดลในการนำเสนอ คือ RPCCC MODEL ประกอบด้วย 1) Receiver  วิเคราะห์ผู้รับสาร  2) Planning วางแผนการเผยแผ่ 3) Concept วางกรอบแนวคิด  4) Content เนื้อหาสาระการเผยแผ่ 5) Communication  การสื่อสารเพื่อการเผยแผ่  ซึ่งเป็นองค์ความรู้ใหม่ซึ่งจะส่งผลต่อการทำงานของพระธรรมทูตสายต่างประเทศ องค์กรสมัชชาสงฆ์ไทยในสหรัฐอเมริกา บุคคลทั่วไป องค์กร ชุมชน สังคม ตลอดถึงประเทศชาติ

บทคัดย่อภาษาอังกฤษ

These are the three main purposes of this research: 1) To study and analyze the context, conditions, problems, and obstacles related to the propagation of Buddhism by the Council of Thai Bhikkhus in the U.S.A., as well as the concepts and principles of Buddhist propagation based on contemporary innovations; 2) To study and analyze the principles of Buddhist peaceful means that contribute to the propagation of Buddhism of the Council of Thai Bhikkhus in the U.S.A.; 3) To present the process of propagating Buddhism of the Council of Thai Bhikkhus in the U.S.A. by Buddhist peaceful means. This study was conducted using a qualitative research method, and the results can be summarized as follows.

From the study, the following results are found:

1) The problematic state of the propagation of Buddhism of the Council of Thai Bhikkhus in the U.S.A. is due to several factors. Firstly, the Dhammaduta (Buddhist missionaries) do not fully understand the group of people who come to learn and practice the Dhamma. This lack of understanding leads to ineffective communication and the use of outdated language and traditional media. Secondly, the knowledge provided by the Dhammaduta is often inconsistent with current practices and beliefs. Finally, legal restrictions and a lack of understanding of foreign cultures make it difficult for the Dhammaduta to connect with the target group and support them effectively. To improve the missionary work of the Council of Thai Bhikkhus in the U.S.A., a variety of means are required. The Dhammaduta should participate in activities with various temples, not only Thai temples but also temples in other countries. They should provide Dhamma books, radio broadcasts, online Dhamma lectures, and meditation practice groups. Additionally, they should engage with the target group through social activities. The Body-Mind Go Together project follows the advice of Most Ven. Prof. Dr. Phra Brahmapundit, which includes fishing outside, coordinating in ten directions, making friends all over the world, managing wisdom, and implementing the Sarika feeding victims strategy.

2) Doctrine, Ovada Patimokkha. The three principles are at the heart of Dhammaduta, to adhere to and apply to achieve the goal of Buddhism, which is to not commit any sin, do only good deeds, and purify the mind. The four ideologies that Dhammaduta always needs to follow are patience, forbearance when encountering unpleasant things, not hurting or injuring others, and cultivating calmness in body, speech, and mind. Nirvana, the cessation of suffering, is the ultimate goal of Buddhism. Method 6 is a guideline for the proper conduct of Dhammaduta, which includes not slandering or harming others, maintaining respectable behavior, respecting discipline, rules, and good traditions of society, knowing how to use things appropriately and sufficiently in a suitable environment, and practicing to developing a calm mind with good efficiency.

3) The process of propagating Buddhism of the Council of Thai Bhikkhus in the U.S.A. by Buddhist peaceful means, and the result for the presentation is the RPCCC MODEL, which includes the following steps: 1. Receiver 2. Planning 3. Concept 4. Content 5. Communication. Buddhism propagation communication is a new body of knowledge that will impact the work of the Dhammaduta (Buddhist missionaries), organizations the Council of Thai Bhikkhus in the U.S.A., individuals, organizations, communities, societies, as well as the nation.
