บทคัดย่อภาษาไทย

                การวิจัยเรื่องนี้ “ศึกษาการรักษาสุขภาพด้วยสมุนไพรตามหลักพระพุทธศาสนา” มีวัตถุประสงค์ เพื่อศึกษาวิธีการรักษาสุขภาพตามหลักพระพุทธศาสนาและการใช้สมุนไพร เพื่อเปรียบเทียบลักษณะวิธีการรักษาสุขภาพตามหลักพระพุทธศาสนาและการใช้สมุนไพร และเพื่อศึกษาความสอดคล้องในวิธีการรักษาสุขภาพตามหลักพระพุทธศาสนาและการใช้สมุนไพร ซึ่งผู้วิจัย    ได้กำหนดวิธีการดำเนินการวิจัย ดังนี้

             การทำวิจัยในครั้งนี้ผู้ทำวิจัยได้มุ่งศึกษาถึง “ศึกษาการรักษาสุขภาพด้วยสมุนไพร      ตามหลักพระพุทธศาสนา” ผู้วิจัยได้กำหนดวิธีการวิจัยแบบ การวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ (Qualitative Research) ใช้การเก็บข้อมูลโดยการสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึก (In-depth Interview) กับผู้ให้ข้อมูลสำคัญ (Key Informant) กับศึกษาการรักษาสุขภาพด้วยสมุนไพรตามหลักพระพุทธศาสนา ผู้วิจัยใช้การคัดเลือกแบบเจาะจงผู้ให้ข้อมูลสำคัญที่เกี่ยวข้อง จำนวน 10 รูป/คน โดยใช้วิธีการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลแบบอรรถาธิบายและพรรณนาความ วิเคราะห์ลักษณะปัญหาจากเอกสาร จากการสัมภาษณ์      และงานวิจัยที่เกี่ยวข้อง ประกอบด้วย 1) รวบรวมข้อมูลจากเอกสารที่เกี่ยวข้อง 2) จัดลำดับข้อมูล 3) จากการสัมภาษณ์ 4) นำข้อมูลที่ได้มาวิเคราะห์เนื้อหาตามประเด็น และ 5) สรุปผล อภิปรายผล            และข้อเสนอแนะ

ผลการวิจัย พบว่า

 1) ผลการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลพื้นฐานเกี่ยวกับแหล่งเรียนรู้ข้อมูลด้านสมุนไพรและแหล่งประกอบการด้านสมุนไพร สมาคมแพทย์แผนไทยวัดพระปฐมเจดีย์ฯ, อุทยานธรรมชาติวิทยา  สิรีรุกขชาติ, สวนป่าสมุนไพรวัดปลักไม้ลาย และ บริษัท เจริญสุข ฟาร์มา ซัพพลาย จำกัด จะเห็นว่า มีสถานที่สำคัญและแต่ละสถานที่มีการผลิตสมุนไพรที่มีระยะเวลายาวนาน และมีกระบวนการในการผลิตที่คล้ายคลึงกัน

            2) ผลการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลวิธีการรักษาสุขภาพตามหลักพระพุทธศาสนาและการใช้สมุนไพร พบว่า จากการสัมภาษณ์ของแต่ละท่านมีความคิดเห็นด้านประวัติความเป็นมาของสมุนไพรที่คล้ายคลึงกัน การเรียนและถ่ายทอดสมุนไพรที่แตกต่างกัน ซึ่งบางส่วนเน้นหลักพระพุทธศาสนา และกำกับคาถาในการรักษาโรค หลักการของสมุนไพรนั้นไม่แตกต่างกันมาก ถ้าเป็นหลักทั่วไป       ซึ่งจะเป็นการวินิจฉัยโรค บางที่ก็วินิจฉัยจากธาตุ

             3) การเปรียบเทียบลักษณะวิธีการรักษาสุขภาพตามหลักพระพุทธศาสนาและการใช้สมุนไพร พบว่า สมุนไพรกับหลักพระพุทธศาสนามีความความคล้ายคลึงกัน เช่น การใช้สมุนไพรจะใช้ยาหม้อที่นำสมุนไพรต่าง ๆ มาต้มรวมกัน เพื่อดื่มรักษาโรค และมีบทสวดมนต์ ขณะต้ม, ส่วนทางพระพุทธศาสนาจะมีการใช้คาถานำมนต์พิธีเข้ามาร่วมประกอบการรักษาโรค และหลักสัปปายะในทางพระพุทธศาสนา ตลอดจนนำมาปรับปรุงให้สอดคล้องกับวิธีดำเนินการของแพทย์แผนไทยในยุคปัจจุบัน

             4) การวิเคราะห์ข้อเสนอแนะแนวทาง ศึกษาการรักษาสุขภาพด้วยสมุนไพรตามหลักพระพุทธศาสนา พบว่า แนวในการรักษาสุขภาพด้วยสมุนไพรตามหลักพระพุทธศาสนา ประกอบด้วย การหาสมุนไพรพื้นบ้าน, การปลูกสมุนไพรเพื่อประหยัดค่าใช้จ่าย, สมุนไพรเป็นทางเลือกหนึ่งในการรักษาโรค และการดูแลตนเองด้วยการรักษาสุขภาพ อันเป็นแนวทางที่เชื่อมโยงกับพระพุทธศาสนาและการนำสมุนไพรมาประยุกต์ใช้เป็นแนวทางในการดำเนินชีวิต

บทคัดย่อภาษาอังกฤษ

The study entitled “A Study of Healthcare by Using Herbs Based on Buddhism” consisted of the following objectives: 1) to study the methods of healthcare according to Buddhism and the use of herbs; 2) to compare the methods of healthcare according to Buddhism and the use of herbs; and 3) to study the correlation of healthcare methods according to Buddhism and the use of herbs. The study applied a quantitative research method by collecting data from an in-depth interview with 10 key informants, obtained by means of purposive sampling. The acquired data were analyzed by way of explanation and description. The problems were analyzed from documents, interview, and related research works in the following steps: 1) the data from relevant documents were collected; 2) the data were put in sequence; 3) the data were acquired from an interview; 4) the acquired data were analyzed according to the issues; and 5) summary, discussion, and suggestions.

      The results of the research are as follows:

      1) From analyzing the fundamental information about the following learning resources on herbs: Thai Traditional Medicine Association of Wat Phra Pathom Chedi, Sireeruckhachati Nature Learning Park, Wat Plukmailai (herbal grove), and Charoensuk Pharma Supply Co., Ltd, it is found that each place has a long and similar process in manufacturing herbs. 

      2) On the analysis of the methods for healthcare according to Buddhism and the use of herbs, it is found from an interview that each key informant has similar opinions on the history of herbs but has different ways of studying and transferring the knowledge on herbs, some of which focus on Buddhist principles and reciting the stanzas. The principles of herbs do not differ much. If it is a general principle, it is about diagnosis and sometimes it involves the diagnosis from elements.

      3) From comparing the methods of healthcare according to Buddhism and the use of herbs, it is found that there is a similarity between the use of herbs and the Buddhist principles such as different kinds of herbs are boiled for treatment, in which the stanzas are recited during the boiling of herbs. This is similar in Buddhism where the reciting of stanzas is used for treatment together with herbs as well. The Buddhist principle on Sappāya (beneficial conditions) is also applied with the present methods of Thai traditional medicine.

                        4) From analyzing the suggestions and guidelines for healthcare by using herbs according to Buddhism, it is found as follows: finding herbs is based on the ability of each person; planting herbs in order to save costs; herbs are one alternative for treatment and healthcare. The use of herbs together with the Buddhist principles can be used as a way of life.
