บทคัดย่อภาษาไทย

              งานวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาแนวคิดเกี่ยวกับประเพณีบุญแซนโฎนตา เพื่อศึกษาสภาพปัญหาของการทำบุญประเพณีแซนโฎนตาของคนไทยเชื้อสายเขมรบ้านสว่าง ตำบลศรีสว่าง อำเภอโพนทราย จังหวัดร้อยเอ็ด เพื่อศึกษาแนวทางการส่งเสริมประเพณีบุญแซนโฎนตาของคนไทยเชื้อสายเขมร บ้านสว่าง ตำบลศรีสว่าง อำเภอโพนทราย จังหวัดร้อยเอ็ด ซึ่งเป็นงานวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ โดยการศึกษาข้อมูลเอกสารและการศึกษาภาคสนามด้วยวิธีการสัมภาษณ์และสนทนากลุ่ม พร้อมทั้งนำเสนอผลการวิจัยในเชิงพรรณนาวิเคราะห์        

               ผลการวิจัยพบว่า ประเพณีแซนโฎนตาเป็นประเพณีการทำบุญอุทิศที่มีฐานคิดแบบคติชนวิทยาของชาติพันธุ์เขมร ผ่านคติความเชื่อและพิธีกรรมเกี่ยวกับชีวิตหลังความตาย โดยเป็นการผสมผสานวัฒนธรรมการบูชาของชาวเขมรและวัฒนธรรมการทำบุญอุทิศของชาวพุทธ ซึ่งแฝงแนวคิดเรื่องกรรมและการให้ผลของกรรม รวมทั้งแนวคิดการบูชาบรรพบุรุษ

              บ้านสว่างเป็นชุมชนเดียวในจังหวัดร้อยเอ็ดที่ได้ทำบุญประเพณีแซนโฎนตา ในส่วนปัญหาของการทำบุญประเพณีแซนโฎนตาบ้านสว่างในปัจจุบัน พบว่า มีปัญหาด้านการประชาสัมพันธ์ ปัญหาด้านสถานที่และการเตรียมงาน ปัญหาเกี่ยวกับขั้นตอนและกำหนดการ ปัญหาด้านการดำเนินงาน ปัญหาด้านการเผยแพร่ความรู้ ปัญหาการดื่มสุราและทะเลาะวิวาท รวมทั้งการเล่นการพนันของคนที่มาร่วมงานด้วย ทั้งยังมีการให้ความสำคัญกับการท่องเที่ยวที่เน้นความสนุกสนานจากมหรสพและการแข่งเรือมากกว่าแก่นแท้ของบุญประเพณีแซนโฎนตา

              การส่งเสริมบุญประเพณีแซนโฎนตาของบ้านสว่าง โดยบูรณาการประเพณีแซนโฎนตาเข้ากับชุมชน สังคม องค์กร และหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้อง เพื่อส่งเสริมประเพณีแซนโฎนตา 2 ส่วน ส่วนแรกเป็นแนวทางการส่งเสริมตามบทบาทหน้าที่ทั้งทางตรงและทางอ้อม ซึ่งประกอบด้วยการ ส่งเสริมบุญประเพณีแซนโฎนตาในมิติทางสังคม มิติทางการเมือง มิติทางพระพุทธศาสนา มิติทางวัฒนธรรม มิติทางการท่องเที่ยว มิติทางการสื่อสาร มิติทางการศึกษา มิติทางเศรษฐกิจ มิติทางวิถีประชา มิติทางจิตสาธารณะ มิติด้านความปลอดภัย และในมิติของสุขภาพ ซึ่งเป็นการส่งเสริมโดยมีบทบาทหน้าที่รองรับ โดยจะทำให้เกิดกระบวนการขับเคลื่อนการส่งเสริมประเพณีแซนโฎนตาเป็นเครือข่ายร่วมกัน ส่วนที่สองเป็นแนวทางการส่งเสริมบุญประเพณีแซนโฎนตาในมิติทางวัฒนธรรม คือ การส่งเสริมบุญประเพณีแซนโฎนตาด้านวัตถุธรรม ด้านคติธรรม ด้านเนติธรรม ด้านสหธรรม ซึ่งแต่ละส่วนจะเป็นองคาพยพในการส่งเสริมประเพณีแซนโฎนตาบ้านสว่างได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ

บทคัดย่อภาษาอังกฤษ

               The thesis entitled “Guidelines for Promoting the Sandonta Tradition of Thai-Khmer People of Baan Sawang, Baan Sawang Subdistrict, Phon Sai District, Roi Et Province” consisted of three objectives: 1) to study the concepts of the Sandonta tradition; 2) to study problems of the Sandonta tradition of Thai-Khmer people in Baan Sawang, Baan Sawang subdistrict, Phon Sai district, Roi Et province; and 3) to study guidelines for promoting the Sandonta tradition of Thai-Khmer people in Baan Sawang, Baan Sawang subdistrict, Phon Sai district, Roi Et province. This is a qualitative research with the data collection employed from documents and field work study by means of interviews and focus group discussion. The data was presented in descriptive analysis.

              From the study, it was found that the Sandonta tradition is a merit-making tradition based on the Khmer folklore according to the beliefs and rituals about the afterlife, which is a combination of the Khmer culture on worshiping and Buddhist culture on merit-making, covering up the concepts of Kamma and the result of Kamma, as well as the idea of ancestor worship.

              Baan Sawang is the only community in Roi Et province that exists the Sandonta tradition. The problems of the Sandonta tradition appearing in the present include public relations problems, location and preparation problems, problems with procedures and programs, operational problems, knowledge dissemination problems, alcohol-drinking and quarrel problems, as well as the gambling of those who attend the ritual. Moreover, the people give more importance to tourism focusing on the fun of the entertainments and boat races more than the essence of the Sandonta tradition.

               The promotion of Sandonta tradition of Baan Sawang by integrating the ritual with the community, society, organization and related agencies can be divided into two parts: the First part is the guidelines for promoting the roles and duties both directly and indirectly consisting of the promotion of Sandonta tradition in the social dimension, political dimension, Buddhism dimension, cultural dimensions, dimensions of tourism, dimensions of communication, educational dimensions, economic dimension, dimension of civil society, dimension of public mind, safety dimensions, and dimensions of health. Such promotion will lead to the process of promoting the Sandonta tradition as a collaborative network; and the Second part is the guideline to promote the Sandonta tradition in the cultural dimensions consisting of material, moral, legal and social, by which each part will be an organ to promote the Sandonta tradition in Baan Sawang effectively.
