บทคัดย่อภาษาไทย

        วิทยานิพนธ์เรื่องนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ 3 ประการ คือ 1) เพื่อศึกษาความมีอยู่ของวิญญาณ  2) เพื่อศึกษาความมีอยู่ของเจ้าปู่กุงศรี บ้านหนองกุงศรี อำเภอหนองกุงศรี จังหวัดกาฬสินธุ์   3) เพื่อวิเคราะห์ความมีอยู่ของเจ้าปู่กุงศรี บ้านหนองกุงศรี อำเภอหนองกุงศรี จังหวัดกาฬสินธุ์ การวิจัยนี้เป็นการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ โดยการศึกษาเอกสารและงานวิจัยที่เกี่ยวข้อง และการเก็บข้อมูลจากการสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึก แล้ววิเคราะห์ข้อมูลแบบวิธีพรรณนาตามหลักอุปนัยวิธี

        ผลการวิจัยพบว่า

        1. โลกของสรรพสิ่งที่เรามองไม่เห็นและจับต้องไม่ได้ แต่ก็เชื่อว่ามีอยู่จริง คือ โลกวิญญาณ ซึ่งมีส่วนสัมพันธ์กับสรรพสิ่งและมีบทบาทสำคัญต่อการดำรงอยู่ของโลกมนุษย์ และสังคมวัฒนธรรมความคิดของคนไทยอย่างแนบแน่น

        2. เจ้าปู่กุงศรีเป็นผีบรรพชนของหมู่บ้านหนองกุงศรี เป็นที่พึ่งทางจิตใจให้กับชาวบ้าน ที่เชื่อถือและยึดมั่นกันอย่างเหนียวแน่น เพราะถูกปลูกฝังในเรื่องความศักดิ์สิทธิ์ ทำให้สังคมเกิดความเป็นน้ำหนึ่งใจเดียวกัน มีความรักสามัคคี ถึงแม้ยุคสมัยจะเปลี่ยนแปลงไปคติความเชื่อความมีอยู่ของเจ้าปู่กุงศรีก็จะยังมีอยู่ต่อไป

        3. ชาวบ้านเชื่อว่าเจ้าปู่มีอยู่จริงในฐานะของผู้สร้างและเป็นผู้ปกครองอำเภอหนองกุงศรี เห็นได้จาก ความเชื่อที่ว่าเจ้าปู่มีอำนาจ มีฤทธิ์มากมายไม่จำกัด สามารถทำทุกอย่างได้โดยไม่มีอะไรติดขัดหรือขัดข้อง  ตามทฤษฎีภววิทยาบอกว่า ความมีอยู่ในจิตอย่างหนึ่งกับอีกอย่างหนึ่งคือความมีอยู่ในความจริงตามที่เป็นอยู่ หมายความว่าเมื่อชาวบ้านมีความเชื่ออย่างจริงจังว่าเจ้าปู่กุงศรีมีอยู่จริงในจิตใจแล้ว ก็ไม่มีเหตุผลอะไรที่จะมาหักล้างว่าเจ้าปู่ไม่มีอยู่จริง ด้วยความเชื่อในอำนาจเจ้าปู่จึงมีการเลี้ยงเจ้าปู่หรือพิธีกรรมการบูชาเจ้าปู่เป็นประจำ

บทคัดย่อภาษาอังกฤษ

This thesis had three objectives: 1) to study the existence of spirits; 2) to study the existence of Chao Pu Kung Sri, Nongkung Si Village, Nong Kung Si District, Kalasin Province; 3) to analyze the existence of Chao Pu Kung Sri. This research was qualitative research conducted by studying related documents and research. The data were collected from in-depth interviews and then analyzed by the descriptive data according to the inductive method.

              The results of the research were as follows:

               1) The world of things that we cannot see and intangible, but it is believed that there is a spirit world, which is associated with all things and plays a vital role in the existence of the human world, society, culture, and thoughts of the Thai people closely.

               2) Chao Pu Kung Sri is an ancestor ghost of Nong Kung Sri village that is a mental refuge for the villagers because he was cultivated in holiness in making society united with love and harmony. Even if the times change, the motto, belief, and existence of Chao Pu Kung Sri continue to exist.

              3) Villagers believe that Chao Pu Kung Sri exists as a creator and ruler of Nong Kung Si District, evident from the belief that Chao Pu Kung Sri has power and unlimited potential to do everything without any disruption. According to the ontology theory, existence in mind and another is being in the truth as it is. It means that when the villagers seriously believe that Chao Pu Kung Sri exists in their hearts, there is no reason to refute that Chao Pu Kung Sri does not exist. There is a traditional feast of Chao Pu Kung Sri or worshiping him with faith in his power.
