บทคัดย่อภาษาไทย

งานวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ 1) เพื่อศึกษาแนวคิดและการแก้ปัญหาสิ่งแวดล้อมตามหลักศาสตร์สมัยใหม่ 2) เพื่อศึกษาแนวคิดและการแก้ปัญหาสิ่งแวดล้อมตามหลักพุทธศาสนา และ 3)  เพื่อศึกษาแนวทางการบูรณาการพุทธนิเวศเพื่อแก้ปัญหาสิ่งแวดล้อม รูปแบบงานวิจัยเป็นการวิจัยเชิงเอกสาร โดยการรวบรวม วิเคราะห์ แล้วสังเคราะห์เนื้อหา ผลการวิจัยพบว่า 1) ศาสตร์สมัยใหม่มองปัญหาสิ่งแวดล้อมว่าเกิดจากการเพิ่มจำนวนประชากร พฤติกรรมการบริโภคและเทคโนโลยีตามสมการ I=PAT การแก้ปัญหาทำได้ด้วยการวางแผนครอบครัว การสร้างความตระหนักรู้ถึงคุณค่าของธรรมชาติโดยใช้ทฤษฎีกาย่าและทฤษฎีเคออสเพื่อเข้าใจธรรมชาติ ใช้แนวคิดนิเวศวิทยาแนวลึกและหลักเศรษฐกิจพอเพียงในการดำเนินชีวิตร่วมกับการปรับเปลี่ยนพฤติกรรมเพื่อรักษาสิ่งแวดล้อม 2) พุทธศาสนามองว่าปัญหาสิ่งแวดล้อมเกิดจากความโลภในการใช้บริการนิเวศซึ่งมาจากความเข้าใจไม่ถูกต้องต่อธรรมชาติและการแสวงหาด้วยวิธีการที่เป็นอกุศล การแก้ปัญหาสิ่งแวดล้อมด้วยการรับรู้ต่อธรรมชาติอย่างถูกต้อง (สัมมาทิฎฐิ) ตามหลักธรรมนิยามและปฏิจจสมุปบาท และการกระทำอันเป็นกุศล พิจารณาเหตุผลและรักษาความสัมพันธ์ที่ดีคือการเกื้อกูลกัน ได้รับประโยชน์ร่วมกันและไม่เกิดโทษกับฝ่ายใด และ 3) บูรณาการพุทธนิเวศในส่วนของสาเหตุตามสมการใหม่ คือ I=PRA+ct ได้แก่ จำนวนประชากร ความเข้าใจผิดต่อธรรมชาติ พฤติกรรมการบริโภค และมีปัจจัยสนับสนุนคือระบบทุนนิยมและเทคโนโลยี การแก้ปัญหาสามารถทำได้โดยสร้างการรับรู้ ตระหนักรู้ต่อธรรมชาติและสิ่งแวดล้อมอย่างถูกต้องตามหลักการเปลี่ยนแปลง การทำหน้าที่อย่างอิงอาศัยกันในฐานะที่เป็นเหตุปัจจัยต่อกัน และกระทำอย่างรับผิดชอบต่อตนเองและสังคม ทั้งนี้เพราะมนุษย์เป็น keystone species หนึ่งในระบบนิเวศ โดยอาศัยวิธีการ 4 คือป้องกัน งดเว้น เพิ่ม และรักษาธรรมชาติโดยมีหลักเมตตากรุณาเป็นปัจจัยสนับสนุนเพื่อลดความขัดแย้งที่อาจจะเกิดภายในจิตใจ แสดงออกเป็นรูปธรรมด้วยการบริโภคพอประมาณ เลือกใช้เทคโนโลยีที่เหมาะสม รับรู้และตระหนักถึงคุณค่าของธรรมชาติและใช้หลักเศรษฐกิจพอเพียง

บทคัดย่อภาษาอังกฤษ

           The objectives of this research are: 1) to study the concepts and solutions of environ- mental problems according to modern sciences, 2) to study concepts and solution of environmental problems according to Buddhist principles, and 3) to study the Buddhist ecology and integrate it with modern sciences for environmental solution. The research form is documentary research by collecting data, analyzing, and finally synthesizing them with the researcher’s interpretation. The research has found that; 1) according to modern sciences, the environmental problems have been caused by an increasing population, consumption behavior, and technology. This can be shown through the equation I=PAT. The proper solution of the problems should be family planning, awareness of Gaia theory and Chaos theory for the deeply understanding of nature, applying deep ecological concepts and sufficiency economy principles for living, and changing behavior to protect the environment. 2) In the Buddhist perspective, these problems have been caused by greed in ecology service which causes an inaccurate understanding of nature and a pursuit of encroach methods. Solving problems should be recognizing nature according to the principles of Dhammaniyama and the dependent origination (right view), charitable doing, considering the reason and maintaining a relationship for mutual benefit and not harming any party. 3) The new equation that explains the causes of the problems in the integrated Buddhist ecology is I = PRA+ct. This says the causes of the problems are increasing population, a wrong view of nature, consumption behavior, and supporting factors are capitalism and technology. Buddhist Ecology Integrated for Environmental Solution could be done through: recognizing and realizing the nature according to dynamic outlook, changing the causes of the problems, and being responsible for oneselves and society on the basis of the truth that human is one of keystone species in an ecosystem. There are 4 methods: prevent, refrain, add and preserve nature. Kindness, modest consumption, choosing the right technology, recognizing and realizing the value of nature, and applying sufficiency economy principles.--These are supporting conditions of the solution of the problems.
