บทคัดย่อภาษาอังกฤษ

The purpose of this research is to study morphology of the Arakanese dialect spoken in northern Rakhine (Arakan) state in western Myanmar. The objectives of the study are classified into three parts; 1) To study morpheme of Arakanese dialect spoken in northern Arakan state, 2) To study the word-formation of Arakanese dialect and 3) To study word-classes of Arakanese dialect.

This research is the qualitative research. The population denoted in this research; researcher selects was Arakanese people who were born at Sittwe in Rakhine state consisting of four persons. The area of research was Rakhine state in union of Myanmar. Research method, the tool used in the research, the researcher made interview on online and document research.

The main important parts in this study based on content classification as documentary research by selecting primary sources from the books, academic books, Arakanese dictionary, library, online research and the research studied from informants' native speakers for four persons. The documentary Arakanese dialect data had been used for interviewing by way of qualitative methods linguistics.

             The results of the research are as follows

          A morphological study of the Arakanese dialect spoken in a northern Rakhine (Arakan) state in western Myanmar. There were simple words and compound words, complex words and they could be classified based on Arakanese dialect,
the morpheme refers to study of monomorphemic and polymorphemic forms such as composite forms, prefix-derived forms, suffix-derived forms and reduplicated forms.

The compound word of Arakanese dialect was divided into three main types; nominalization compound, class term compound and word class compound.

The word-classes of Arakanese dialect as a part of speech that were considered to be noun, pronoun, adjectives, numerals, verbs, adverb, prepositions, and final particles.
