บทคัดย่อภาษาไทย

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ 3 ประการ ดังนี้ 1) เพื่อศึกษาสภาพปัญหาการดำเนินชีวิตของชุมชนบ้านเทพราช  อำเภอสิชล จังหวัดนครศรีธรรมราช  2) เพื่อศึกษาหลักพรหมวิหาร ๔ ที่ปรากฏในคัมภีร์พระพุทธศาสนาเถรวาท  และ 3) เพื่อประยุกต์ใช้หลักพรหมวิหาร 4 เพื่อการดำเนินชีวิตของชุมชนบ้านเทพราช อำเภอสิชล จังหวัดนครศรีธรรมราช ดำเนินการวิจัยโดยใช้วิธีวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ (Qualitative Research) โดยการสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึก (In-Depth-interview)

              ผลการวิจัยพบว่า:

1. การดำเนินชีวิตอยู่ร่วมกัน หมายถึง การอยู่ร่วมกันเป็นพวกเดียวกันของคนหรือกลุ่มคนมีองค์ประกอบทางสังคม เพื่อให้คนในชุมชนสามารถอยู่ร่วมกันตามสถานภาพและบทบาทของสมาชิก ที่ทุกคนต่างทำหน้าที่ที่เป็นสมาชิกในครอบครัว แต่ในปัจจุบันชุมชนบ้านเทพราช อำเภอสิชล จังหวัดนครศรีธรรมราช กำลังประสบกับสภาวะการขาดคุณธรรม ขาดความเข้าใจซึ่งกันและกัน ต่างคนต่างมีทิฏฐิมานะ สมาชิกในครอบครัวไม่รู้จักหน้าที่ของตนเองในการอยู่ร่วมกัน ทำให้เกิดเป็นปัญหาต่างๆ ดังนี้ ปัญหาความแตกร้าวในครอบครัว และปัญหายาเสพติด

2. หลักพรหมวิหาร 4 มีคุณประโยชน์มากมาย เช่นสร้างความตระหนักปลุกเตือนสติให้เกิด ความสำนึก เห็นคุณค่า และความสำคัญของหลักธรรม ที่ต้องนำมาใช้ในการดำเนินชีวิต เพื่อพัฒนาปรับปรุงและประยุกต์ โดยนำหลักธรรม ที่ตนปฏิบัติ ได้ผลดีแล้ว ไปเผยแผ่ แบ่งปัน ถ่ายทอดให้คนใกล้ชิด และชักชวนเพื่อนมนุษย์ ในสังคมให้ปฏิบัติตาม ปรับการประยุกต์ใช้หลักพรหมวิหาร ๔ ได้ทั้งในระดับครอบครัว ชุมชน และสังคมที่เราอยู่ร่วมกันได้

3. การประยุกต์ใช้พรหมวิหาร 4 เพื่อแก้ปัญหาความแตกร้าวในครอบครัว แก้ปัญหายาเสพติดและปัญหาขาดความเอื้อเฟื้อเผื่อแผ่ คือ การแสดงการกระทำต่อกันอย่างสุจริตและจริงใจ ทั้งต่อหน้าและลับหลัง เมื่อนำหลักธรรมมาส่งเสริมใช้ให้ถูกต้อง ถูกวิธี ปฏิบัติตนตามบทบาทหน้าที่และภาระที่รับผิดชอบ ควรเอาใจใส่ต่อหน้าที่การงาน สามารถประคับประคองครอบครัวของตนให้มีความสุขอบอุ่นของสมาชิกในครอบครัวได้ ถ้าทุกคนมีพรหมวิหารธรรมการพูดตักเตือนแนะนำด้วยความรัก อยากให้เขาพ้นทุกข์ มีความพลอยยินดีเมื่อสมาชิกมีจิตสำนึกกลับมาเปลี่ยนแปลงการกระทำในทางที่ดีมีความเอื้อเฟื้อเผื่อแผ่ด้วยความจริงใจไม่หวังผลตอบแทนดังนั้นชุมชนก็เกิดสันติสุขน่าอยู่

บทคัดย่อภาษาอังกฤษ

     The objectives of the study were 1) to study the problems of the lifestyle of Ban Theprat community, Sichon District, Nakhon Si Thammarat, 2) to study Four Sublime States of Mind the Theravada Buddhist scriptures, and 3) to apply the Four Sublime States of Mind (Brahmavihàra) for the way of life in Ban Theprat community, Sichon District, Nakhon Si Thammarat. The study was conducted by employing qualitative research with an in-depth interview.

     The findings showed that:  

      1) To live together means coexisting with people in a group with having a social component for people in the community to coexist according to the status and role of its members who serve as family members. Currently, Ban Theprat community, Sichon District, Nakhon Si Thammarat has been facing problems from deficiency of morality and understanding each other. They are full of pride with conceit. Family members do not recognize their duty to coexist, causing several problems in the family such as disagreeableness and drug problems.

             2)Brahmavihàra benefits the human community with various dimensions, such as raising awareness, consciousness, value, and the importance of the dhamma principles that must be applied in life. The application of dhamma principles that are well practiced has been revealed, shared, and conveyed to those who are close as well as human fellows to follow. The Brahmavihàra can be applied at the level of family, community, and society in which people live together.

               3) The application of the Brahmavihàra to solve the problem of family rupture, drugs, and deficiency of generosity is to show honest and sincere cooperation both in the presence of and behind the one's back. When Brahmavihàra principles are applied correctly, community members behave following the roles and responsibilities. As a result, they can sustain their families to have a warm and happy family. With Brahmavihàra, everyone who follows Brahmavihàra with a sincere warning and kind advice to community members feels happy when the members with conscience change their negative behavior to positive conduct with generous sincerity without expecting any reward. As a result, the community is a pleasant place to live.
